As for Wicked - A-MAZ-ING!!! I really want to see it again. I have the soundtrack - I'll have to look at the names - thanks for all the info. In Hollywood the souvies were about like Disney prices, kind of what I expected - I guess things are more $$ in NYC.

This was my favorite update yet! I loooooveee Broadway and the theater in general. My family, friends and I have decided to make this a summer of Broadway - so far we've seen Hair and In the Heights, and then we're going to see Billy Elliott, Next to Normal, Shrek, The Toxic Avenger and WICKED!!! It's one of the big ones that I haven't seen yet so I'm SO excited! I wish Idina Menzel (she was unbelievable in Rent, she's my fav!) and Kristin Chenowith (another one of my favs!) were still in it, but I've heard Nicole's amazing, and I'm glad to hear so again. She was always hilarious on MadTV! I'm so glad you liked the show! And thanks for all the videos, they were really fun to watch!

Caught up on the last two updates! I saw the traveling production of Wicked in February - it was wonderful! A couple of weeks ago Maddie and I were watching different Wicked videos on youtube. I'll have to take her next time it comes near.

Wicked is my favourite musical ever. It's been playing here in Melbourne for the past year, and I've seen it three times! Heeee!

It's moving to Sydney in August, and I'm contemplating buying tickets for the last show here in Melbourne. But four times is a lot of times to see a musical!! But it's so great!! I can't decide what to do!!

Aww glad you liked Wicked! And can I just say that I love that you guys dressed up for Broadway? It always bugs me when people show up for a show looking like they are going to the grocery store, or worse, the gym. Maybe it's because when I was a kid, my mom was constantly taking me to Broadway, or to the Met, or the ballet, and we would always dress up, even for a matinee.

oh, dressing up is half the fun! sounds like so much fun with your mom as a kid. my mom took me to my first concert - the "all night long" lionel richie tour when i was 7. it was awesome!

Now, I am going to have to go get the soundtrack for Wicked.

yes, ma'am, you are!!!! it's really, really good - you'd love it. now i do admit that i've tried to read the book and i just haven't gotten very far. it's very STRANGE. and i love to read. but i just can't get into it. my sister says once you get further into the book it gets better so we'll see. i put it down for awhile to re-read "angels and demons" because i wanted to do that before i saw the movie.

oh, how i wish matthew would've jumped out of an alleyway to rescue my shoe!

she's hilarious! very cool about idina menzel. how was she?

First off its really nice to see people dress up for the theater. it ticks me off when people treat it like its nothing. To me its a thing to get a bit dressed up for! Anyways. The first time I saw Wicked (saw it twice) I didn't know the whole story just the general jist- man did I bawl like a baby! I LOVED it. One of my fav theater experiences EVER!!!!! I'm so glad you all had such a great time!

like i told someone above, dressing up is half the fun! there's just something about seeing elphaba rise up over all those people and sing her heart out that gets you, huh? and then when she and glinda sing "for good".....

yeah, it is very grease-ish! it was really fun. i have the wicked soundtrack too and the one i have has idina menzel as elphaba and kristin chenowith as glinda. they're both really good!

very cool! i bet this summer was be GREAT! i'd love to do that. i love any kind of live performance, especially one that involves singing and dancing! yeah, i agree about idina and kristin. but you won't be disappointed with nicole and alli. alli as glinda is really very HILARIOUS! she was great. we laughing so hard during "popular." and also when dr. dillamond would call her glinda instead of galinda and she'd say, "you forgot the GAAAAAAAA."

it's so good! i think we paid like $75 for tickets and we had really decent seats. it was worth every penny though.
