Excuse me, you'll need to see security. What has Mickeystoontown done? Update 3/25x2

Another great update! Man, how I miss CBR! Thanks again for pointing out exactly how long the walk was to OPR. IMHO, the size of CBR is blown way out of proportion on the DIS and elsehwere on the net. Anxiously awaiting the next installment! :thumbsup2

Your pictures are making me miss CBR terribly! We loved our stay there.

Did your turkey club have pink mayo on it? Mine did in April and I wondered if anyone knew what exactly it was. :lmao:

A movie under the stars sounds great. I've never seen all of WallE either, but DH and DD say that I'd love it.

Looking forward to more!

Okay, slap me now because I have no clue how I missed 14 pages of your TR?!?!?!!

I've only read the intros so far, so I can't comment yet. I'm going to go back and start reading right now!

What a wonderful way to spend your first evening---Sounds very relaxing! :)

I like your room at CBR. It looked very pretty-We've never stayed at CBR. I'm always just a little intimidated by the size of the place, so it's nice to hear that you were only 5-6 minutes out from OPR!

What a great first nice! So relaxing!

I can't believe how much taller and older Hunter looks! I keep thinking that my DS2 will be like that before I know it!!

Caught up! Yay! It's always nice to have something to lure me away from actually doing any work at work. :lmao:

Let's see, what did I want to comment on. (I should have taken notes)

I'm glad to see that you had a pretty uneventful drive on the way there. That's always a good thing. What is it with those signs? I think my DH asks me if I want him to exit every time we see one of those signs and then he giggles like crazy when I give him "the look". I just thank goodness that my 9-year-old isn't very observant and my 3-year-old can't look at things that quickly, but it's only a matter of time. She already tells us which street we are turning on when we are driving by our house. She notices everything.

Love the pics of CBR! I've never been anywhere near the Barbados section, so the wood walkway is new to me. I love it! We had a corner room one year there and loved it. It's not any bigger than any other rooms, but it feels like there is so much more room.

The little girl in the picture with Hunter is looking at him like she's going to grab her mom in just a couple seconds to ask why that "big" kid is there.

I'm sure there is more that I wanted to comment on, but oh well.....

Can't wait to read more!

LOVE the CBR pics! I did visit there when I was at WDW in February, and am definitely thinking that I will be staying there next time I vacation there. :goodvibes I probably even walked right by that building you stayed in, since I walked all the way around! I'll have to look at my pictures tonight.

Can't wait to read more of your TR!

Great update! We may give CBR a try one day. We have stayed at OKW and the Poly... I loved the Poly! (just not the price!)..

I meant to tell you that we tried the pick-a-pearl this time! I had no idea about it until I read one of your reports! My 7 year old, Olivia, picked a 7 1/2 mm pearl! We made it into a necklace. This may be a new tradition for us!!:cheer2:

Another lurker from the May 2013 thread here, hi all. :wave2: Loving your TR and can't wait to read more. It makes me so ready to plan and OCD over our trip. I'm sure I'm driving my DH nuts already, good thing he loves me :lmao:

Great update, Lisa. CBR really is a pretty resort -- love the lush plants, etc.

Andy was in Barbados when he stayed there three years ago and he thought it was a very nice walk to the main building.

The troll was posting rude messages on my report as well as on two others. Thankfully, the mods deleted his/her posts.

Boy I hate I missed those comments! It is a sad existence some peopel live!! :sad2:

Welcome! I just mentioned you in my latest installment. You are working 12 to 14 hour days. I'm tired just thinking about it.

I saw my name and was all like...:cool2: I made the TR!!! :goodvibes

Yes, right now my hours are LLLLOOONNNNGGGG!! I have been so exhausted! I am desperately counting down to July 7!!

I saw there were 14 pages and I thought I might be able to catch up!! Thankfully it was a lot of commetnign going on so I was able to get caught up pretty quickly!! :woohoo:

Thoughts on the posts!! The Elvis tree is amazing! I am definitely looking for that one the next time I go to Monroe!

The wavy roads are so bad but the pot holes within the city are terrible!! I have already had front end work done twice on my car and I have only had it a little over a year!! At least I-20 is paved pretty well! We joke that we have our own personal Test Track and if pregnant ladies can survive the streets of Jackson then they can definitely ride TT!!

The snake sign was hilarious and I think I commented on my TR but that was the 2nd time I had seen that in a TR within 24 hours!! :rotfl:

Leaving your room to the fate of the gods or request...that is my connundrum too! I have never special requested and it is almost fun to get that surprise when you get your packet!!

I know we have expressed this before but I am not good at sitting still upon arrival either! I am ready to move!!!

I really love the wooden walkways at CBR!! I am kind of sad I won't be staying their but we love POFQ and I am pretty sure it will keep Keith even happier!

Alright...I can't wait to see what hasn't been tried before!!

Sounds like a nice relaxing check-in day. It's been years since we stayed at CBR, so nice to get a glance again. I have a picture of JJ at CBR and he was a toddler.

Gotta love those blow up movie screens! Did they have a campfire at CBR too?

Welcome! It's nice to see another May, 2013 Diser! The building that I work in is definiately haunted. It used to be an old hotel and little things are constantly being moved around....staple pullers, pens, etc. I also smell old timey cigar/pipe smoke every once in a while. I've had a chair spin around while I was faxing a document in my boss' office. Oh and I've heard whistling down the hallway and there was nobody here but me. I've come to the conclusion that they must be nice ghosts or they'd be doing naughty things directly to me.

Sounds freaky! I guess you get use to it all after a while, huh?

It wont be long until we are at CBR for the first time  I love reading your trip report and cant wait for more:thumbsup2

Of course you can! It's is nice to see Louisiana Disers! Are ya'll at the top of the State or at the bottom?

We are in Shreveport. But I grew up in Winnfield so I am very familiar with that part of the state

Subbing in and coming out out of lurkdom! :yay: loving your TR, I'm excited to hear about the cruise, I love cruising and I'm dying to go on a Disney cruise!
CBR is so beautiful,I stayed there my first time at Disney (20 years ago lol) and we are debating to stay there when we go in May! Can't wait to read about the rest of your trip :)

Sounds like a great first day! I can't just sit around for very long either! We stayed one night at CBR last month and I was not crazy about it. I thought it was very spread out and our room smelled musty to me. We did like the pool area though. It is interesting to hear other people's perspectives. Can't wait to see what you do at DTD!

Thanks for the update! :woohoo: I am interested in learning more about CBR. Your pictures look great. What about that particular resort has brought you back again and again?

That sounds like a PERFECT day. Beautiful room, nice walk, good dinner and a Disney Movie! :cloud9: What could be better??
