Excursions - book ahead??

Should we book excursions ahead for St. Thomas and CC? We want to do the Doubloon Sail & Snorkle and the Seahorse Cat Snorkel. What if there is bad weather - do they refund if you book ahead? Any info. if great. Thanks

Are you booking with the tour operator or thru Disney?

ANY excursions booked thru Disney are fully refunded if the excursion cannot happen for whatever reason, weather, missed port, etc.. I would also say you should always book the excursions early, I believe you're allowed 60 days out from the cruise. Excursions do sell out by the sail date.

It's up to the individual tour operators when you book direct, make sure you're very clear on it when you talk to them.

We booked our excursions from home at the 60 day mark and boy were we glad we did! The lines, yes I said lines, were unbelieveable on our recent 7 day Western at the shore excursions desk. Yes, you will get a full refund if booked thru Disney and are unable to do the excursion is the weather is bad.

Voluntary cancellation refunds are 2 days prior to embarkation. We recently cancelled our parasailing () in time to receive our refund.

If you know what you want to do, I would definitely book ahead of time just to ensure that you get your spots. Some excursions fill faster than others.

Some excursions do fill up...so if you have your heart set on something, book it as soon as you can. You can always cancel (up to 2 days before sailing) with no penalty.

You can sometimes book on the ship....but if you book ahead, you know that you have it.

Study the guide and book your excursions the minute you can. You can always change. The Atlantis submarine was already sold out in St. Thomas, 60 days before !!!! If you have questions before hand, Disney can answer them, as can a lot of folks on this board.
