Excursion booking question

So my booking window just opened up a half hour ago. For our St. Thomas day, we all planned to do the "Secret Sands Getaway" because it is a short, non-fussy excursion and it is listed as all-ages: https://disneycruise.disney.go.com/...st-john-st-thomas-secret-sands-beach-getaway/

Which is key because we have a baby that will be with us.

However, when I went to book, the baby's name was greyed out and not available to select to join. Is this normal (possibly since the description I linked says children ages 0-2 are free of charge?) or is he not actually able to go on the excursion? I really hope this isn't the case!

Any insight appreciated. :)

Yes, if there's no ticket required for a baby, then the baby's name is grayed out.

On the website it says that ages 0-2 cost $0, so that indicates that babies can go on the excursion. For excursions that don't allow infants, their age ranges won't be listed in the pricing section.

Phew! Great! Thank you so much. So we just show up with the baby and they're okay to come along?
That's how I understand it.

There some excursions that require even the free people to have a ticket (primarily those that involve any sort of boat). Has to do with providing life jackets, or something. For those type of excursions, then you would have to select the baby, even if they are free.

Go it. I suppose I'll give DCL a call at some point to confirm we just show up w/ baby and then I'll report back here...but obviously cannot do that at this hour! Thank you for easing my anxious über-planner mind in the meantime!

As an aside, this new (since our last cruise) way of booking the nursery in individual 30 minute blocks that show up on your reservations page as a million separate "activities" is a real pain in the @$$.

Be sure to mention it on your post cruise survey.

I typically bring along extra paper on a cruise and make notes during the cruise so I can remember what things I want to specify (good or bad) on the survey.
