I have just booked Easyjet flights for the 4 of us on 26th July, returning on 30th July. It's a fantastic feeling to know I have something booked again. This time the Holiday Inn prices are looking a bit steep (155 euros / £106 per room per night with breakfast!) and I can get the Kyriad for £83 per room per night with breakfast. I don't know whether to wait a while before booking, or get something booked now, as it is the school holidays and things might be booked up quickly. Has anyone been in July.....is it as busy as Christmas!!
What is your opinion on the Kyriad in comparison with the Holiday Inn! I am so looking forward to being there in the summer, with light evenings! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Sorry I can't help with any of your questions but just to say congrats on being booked. It's great to have something to look forward to.

I would guess July is extremely busy with the combination of school holidays and hot weather. How exciting for you to be going again and it's always great to have a countdown!!! :Pinkbounc

I don't know how you go about getting a countdown on your signature?
Can anybody help. I hope it won't be as busy as Christmas...at least it won't be as cold....brrrrrr!

Great news, let the planning begin :)

Last July the park was busy. Peter Pan FP were normally out by 11.30 and wait times were 90 minutes.
That said it had a great buzz about it :)

Congratulations on booking for DLRP!
We are hoping to go again on 24th July and returning on 29th July. We did this last year and also in 2003. I haven't been at Christmas so can't compare with the summer for you on that. It is busy, but we got in the park as soon as it opened and did all our favourite rides first thing and got fast passes for others - then we spent the rest of the time just jumping on those rides that didn't have large queues, it worked for us (myself and my three children then 21, 19 and 16).
We chose to go in July because of the longer park opening times, we did stay at the Explorers Hotel but this time we are hoping for the Sequoia Lodge

:cool1: What a great feeling having something booked! Can't help with hotels as haven't stayed in either but let us know what you decide!

I have been in July 2003 (opening day of Fantillusion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and in July 2004 (character breakfast at Café Mickey for my 25th birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!), and I also went at Christmas 2001, 2004 and will go again on Friday.

When I went in December 2001, the park was deserted.
In July, both times, the park was crowded, but not overcrowded.
Last year in December, weekend before Christmas, it was rather awful because of the crowds.

Yes, there are more people in July compared to the off-season, but I think it's about the same as during the Christmas vacation.
In July however, the parks are open longer, so even if you have longer lines at rides, you have more hours to go on them, so it compensates. Because of the parks being open longer, it's also easier to have dinner at the wonderful restaurants IN the parks, like Walt's (my favourite) and L'Auberge de Cendrillon.
If you go in the beginning of July, the crowds are the least bad (or however you say that)

I have always been to the Santa Fe, so I can't help you with your hotel-question.
