Excited for new placement

I just had to post about my new nursing placement as I'm really excited ( and a little nervous)

I'm a second year student nurse and I've just found out I am going to be working in the High Dependancy/Recovery unit at the othopaedic hospital.

It should be a great placement, I just hope I'm up to it

What is a High Dependency/Recovery unit? I'm not familiar with that

Recovery is just after surgery, so care as you're coming round and making sure that you come out of surgery safely. High dependancy is one step below an intensive care unit.vi think you have two patients to one nurse so it's when you need really in depth care
