They always give samples ;) As soon as you walk in the store.
Our investment advisor sends out 2 pound boxes to all his clients every holiday season :yay:

I take the box to AZ to share with the kids or I would eat the whole box!
I go there shopping for just about every holiday. Good thing there isn't one really close. They are about 1/2 hour from me.

I think Cadbury chocolate is one of the best. I love their fruit and nut bars. No way could I keep them around the house.

Christmas cards. Do you send them out, and if so, when do you send them, and what type of picture do you use for photo cards, or designs do you tend to buy? When you receive cards, do you hang/decorate them somewhere, just read them and toss them....? And when do you start sending out cards?

I had started putting together my Christmas cards today :santa:. As I was writing the address to my dad's uncle, and aunty, I was thinking of them. They live on the other island, and are older, and I so miss them. Then I had gotten a message from their granddaughter saying that her grandpa had passed away :(. RIP uncle :littleangel:.:sad1:

Sorry for your loss, Patsy. :littleangel: We have lost several Cmas card receivers also, this year. :sad1: Family and friends.

I send to anyone and everyone, and maybe even more this year since I already have about 200 picture cards and I think I paid $1.99 for 50 of them. The rest were FREE. (Thanks to the Freebie Thread!)

The ones I paid for, have this ornament design that looks like a hidden Mickey! I added our Oct pic, and paid $1.99!! :cool1: The free ones are just general backgrounds with our various pics, i.e. just the 'kids', all of us, etc. and got 3 sets of 50 for FREE!!

Ok, STAMPS are gonna cost me tho! And, I have to address them all!

I would normally have all my cards ready by now to be mailed on Dec. 1st. But there for a while we were loosing someone every year, so this year I have decided to wait.

Sorry for your loss Patsy.

I have one right here--do you want some? Also have a Caramello bar. (they were on sale last week)

sorry for your loss, Patsy.

I send out Christmas cards. I try to have them done by Dec. 15th. My family has always sent out photo cards--my parents started doing it in 1958 when my brother was a year old. (he was born Dec. 1957). When we get most of us together (usually at my nephew's birthday in July), we take a family picture. This year, we're actually using a picture we took at Easter. Dad sends out about 125 to family & friends. The last few years, I've started sending a picture card to my friends. I send about 30. We get them at Costco, so they're pretty cheap, they even have Disney designs. Dad will probably go order them soon, so I've got to make out my list. I send regular Christmas cards to family since they already get a picture from dad.

Sorry for you lose Patsy.
We have lost several friends over the last year. DH has a funeral to go to tomorrow for a friend of his :(

I will send about 30 cards to family and friends (I cut back a lot) and about 30 to DIS friends.
They are all done and ready to go, but I won't mail until about Dec. 7-10.

I don't use photo cards.
I buy cute ones. This years are Tinker Bell, some cheap Disney ones and some with marshmallows sitting on the rim of a cup of hot chocolate.

Sorry for you loss Patsy. I usually send out around 10 to 15 local cards, and 5 overseas.

I tend not to send many cards, but the ones I do send I make myself. I like photography so I use photos I have taken and make the cards from a kit.

Thank you everyone. Sadly, my dad's aunty-the wife of the uncle who had passed away yesterday, had passed away this morning. :sad1::sad1::sad1:

When it rains, it pours. :littleangel:

I'm sending out about 50 - 60 cards to family and friends, this year I'm using a photo from our Colorado trip when we were white water rafting. Now I have to put together a little note to include in the card. The cards are ready to go except for the note, I'll try to get that done and in the mail second week of December.

Thought I would share the photo we used - a little different type of Christmas card this year, we had lots of fun

Patsy, sorry to hear about your loss, you and your family will be in our prayers.

Love you photo Jean!

My sympathies to your family Patsy.

I do Christmas cards. The last couple of years I have done letters. This year I'm doing a photo card and maybe a short little letter to accompany it.

LOL....Jean, where is YOUR smile ;)

This was my first rafting trip I was so nervous, plus this was the run where we hit a large rock and Dan (on the front left) went swimming and rode down the river in the water until we had a chance to pick him up and put him back in the boat. It was a fun trip and yes I would go rafting again.
