I make microwave steamed carrots with dill! They are SOOOO good. I use my pampered chef microwave steamer.

I like carrot cake as well. I LOVE dill. It's great in stir fries, and most veggie dishes. It can be used both fresh or dried, and gives the dishes a nice flavour. I like to saute up some fresh dill and garlic, and put over some cooked asparagus...so good!

So, I have been thinking about Easter, and what to make. When I go on allrecipes.com, there are many recipes out there for carrot cake. So, today's QOTD is-

*Do you like carrot cake?

I sure do BUT there has to be no raisins *shudder*

I like the very dense carrot cake my mother used to make with nuts, raisins and pineapple and cream cheese frosting.

I've never cooked with dill and don't know what it tastes like. I'm not real big on cooking with spices. Would you consider that a spice?

I am not one to cook with many spicies either. But, my sister asked me once if I had dill in my garden, so I had planted one plant, and now it has seeds.

I had purchased a bunch of dahallia flower bulbs . Do any of you also plant flower bulbs in your gardens or pots?

I had purchased a bunch of dahallia flower bulbs . Do any of you also plant flower bulbs in your gardens or pots?

I've thought about buying daffodil bulbs and putting them in the pots out front. There are mums out there now but they don't look so good. The couple of freezes we've had has gotten to them. I'm hoping that they will come back. I also have an oblong planter with blue pansies in it. They're doing good.

Not that I can recall. We do use other herds and spices though.

We have no flowers in our garden or house. We are plant killers. I'd love flowers and plants in the garden and house but I have learned to live with my shameful gardening skills.

Having a good day here. The sun was out (woohoo!) and I'm just waiting on the kids coming home from school so we can go walk our pup.

Apart from nearly ordering a pizza hut im good. Was DD's second day at pre-school today and the early mornings may slowly kill me

Aaaaaw, I bet she had fun, they grow up so quick though. I know what you mean about the early mornings. I am soooo not a morning person.

PS I could really go a pizza right now - this dieting thing sucks!

I'm on a diet aswell but havent stuck to it at all lol.

Im dreading getting up early tomorrow as its going to be a looooong day

I'm on the dieting bandwagon too. I had no choice...doc's orders because of my bad back . Told to lose the weight or else!!! Going to have fun when we leave on our vacation in less than 18 days if it doesn't heal in time. It doesn't help that we are driving down to DL. I haven't planted any bulbs in our gardens as we've been under the development gun over the past 4 or 5 years, and there's no point in planting something that's going to be bulldozed in a year. I try to grow orchids, but have managed to kill alot of them over the years, and despite alot of knowledge about them, just can't seem to keep them healthy, the finicky things that they are.
