Do you know someone that is famous?

I know the Former MAYTAG man...(the one right before this one), but he has passed away now. He also played the boss on WKRP (TV show in the 70s/80s)

Also....way off topic but just wondering....I was just told I have and outer and middle ear infection, do you know of any way to relieve the pain while on my medication? I have NEVER had such a bad ear infection, and since I can't put warm moist heat on it...TIA

We know the sister of Kate from Jon and kate plus 8...I don't know how many siblings she has, but her sister lives in ohio and goes to my mil's church. So she isn't famous, but i think its kinda cool. :)

:grouphug: sorry to hear about your infection. Sorry, I am not able to help with any info.

What is your most favorite, and least favorite type of deli slice to make sandwiches out of?

Favorite without a doubt is Viginia Ham, sliced thin! Least favorite would be plain old bologna lol...and to take the sandwich makings a step further, I like toasted sourdough bread and grey poupon and melted cheese (pretty much any style) on my virginia ham sandwich! :thumbsup2

If you are feeling pressure in your middle ear, I would suggest you gently (and I mean very gently) try to equalize your ears. You do this by pinching your nose shut and gently blowing to clear your estachion (my spellings off, but you get the general idea) tubes. If you feel a slight pop, it means that the tubes are clear. I know from my prekid years scuba diving, that other than the medication that your doctor gave you there's not alot you can do, other than taking Decongestants to help keep your ears clear. Ears are rather finicky things, they tend to want to heal in their own good time. so there is not alot you can do other than the few things I have reccommended. Hope that they are feeling better soon. Have a great day!

Trish

Thin slice Roast Beef or Pastrami....yum

Hmmm, I usually order roast beef at Subway so I guess that would be my favorite. As for my least favorite, I don't know unless it would be a pickle loaf. I think that's what it's called. Salami or bologna would come next.

What size turkey do you usually make for Thanksgiving?
I picked up my free turkey today at Kroger. It's a 13 pounder.

Last night was Carol's last official football night. The team won and are 10 - 0. We begin playoffs next Friday. All the band/drill seniors were recognized during half time. As we stepped on the field at the 50 yard line preparing to walk across and be presented, Carol turned to me and said "Last time on the turf". It was bittersweet.

Last year it was just dh and I and we had a 13 pound turkey...we had leftovers for quite a while, but we couldn't find anything smaller.

It is only DH and I but we have gotten use to buying the smallest ham we can at Honey Baked Ham. The smallest more often than not being 7 pounds. Needless to say it lasts awhile and we eat ham with everything. :lmao: Even soup.

Premade cookie dough I can take or leave.

OT: Not long ago I bought a Cusine electric fondue. I have made a few things and have been thrilled with the fondue pot.
Anyone fondue? And what do you make?
I did buy the book Fondue fo Dummies. So far everything has turned out great, although I stuck with simple recipes.
I found a great peach fondue for breakfast! :thumbsup2 And I don't even like peaches. :cutie:

I have never bought premade cookie dough before.

As for fondue, we stick to the basic chocolate, and use pound cake, strawberries, bananas, graham crackers, marshmallows....

I am not fond of the idea of dipping my food in oil to have it cooked, then eatting it. And, I like cheese on my pizza, and such, but not a big cheese person, so we have never tried making a cheese sauce. Chocolate = :thumbsup2 popcorn:: .

I buy premade cookie dough often; unfortunately, I hardly ever actually bake the cookies lol- we tend to snack on the raw dough! :thumbsup2

As for the fondue, you do not have to cook it in oil...broth mixed with wine or beer is quite tasty, just add whatever seasonings/herbs you want or like! I adore fondue, and we do have our own set, but ours never come out as tasty as what we can get at Melting Pot lol!:sad2:

Do you like to buy premade cookie dough?
Carol likes to use premade cookie dough sometimes. I don't think that they make quite as good as from scratch but they are handy in a pinch.

I remember fondue sets from back when I was a kid. They were real popular then. I haven't eaten from a fondue set since then.

I have once or twice, but I'd rather make the cookies myself or not have them at all, which I usually end up not making them b/c dh and I don't need to be having stuff like that around the house lol

What type of milk do you, and your family consume? Is there a certain type that you dislike or just stay away from for one reason or another?
