Pasta, chicken, burgers/hotdogs, steaks, porkloins, BBQ brisket or ribs. I also have this great yellow cookbook I use a lot where they bring the food right to your door! :rotfl2: DH and kids don't like casseroles, and now that it's summer we grill alot. I always think about using my crockpot and never do.

I LOVE THE LIBRARY!!! And I always have....:cool1: :thumbsup2

My mother and I always went to the Library and I was always in the Summer Reading Program at our local library. It was only for kids 5-12 but I stayed on until I was 21! :rotfl:

My first job was at a Library. I worked there for 3 years. It was the BEST job. I got to shelve all the books. Not only did I get the chance at the new books, my library did not charge late fees for employees! :goodvibes

DH and I love going to the Library and Bookstores, but he is afraid that I will check out all the books. I assure him though that I can only read 4 books at the same time. :rotfl2: I can't wait till we have kids, so I can share this wonderful place with them.

As I look at Ava's siggy, and it says that she has found her princess charming, have you found your princess charming or princess?

And for Ava, your question is-How did you, and your prince charming meet?

Everyone, feel free to tell us how you, and your SO met.

Previous QotDs:
Allergies include juniper and cottonwood (my 2 major ones), and then other plant and weed pollens after those...

Library visits- DH and I like to check out audio books for road trips...they make the journey fly by! (the road between Denver and Albuquerque has a very long boring stretch between Raton NM and Las Vegas NM, lol, so the audio books are lifesavers that prevent us from speeding or falling asleep!)

Prince Charming...and Prince Annoying. Prince Goofball. All in the same Prince lol!
We met in High School; I was a Junior and he was a Sophomore. He was a Drama geek as were several of my friends so we met through them and their rehearsals for various plays lol...We have been together for literally half our lives now and married for the last 10 and a half of those years :goodvibes

As per previous QotDs: Severelly allergic to Peanuts, latex, Splenda, and all it's other names. And have a host of other allergies, too many to mention. Achoo!!! (pardon my sneezing!):rotfl:

Prince Charming....met him while I was still scuba diving. Joined a local scuba club, and the rest is history. Have been married for over 7 years, and still going strong despite 2 kids, 2 greyhounds, and a yard full of vintage vehicles in various states of disrepair.:car: :car: :car: :disrocks:

Let's just say we are Canadian Rednecks!!

Thanks for asking!! I will try to give the Reader's Digest version of how and Chris (Charming) met. :goodvibes

Well, a few years ago, I had a couple of friends ( a girl and guy that I have known for many years, they were dating each other) who were trying to set me up. But, because of family problems, I could never go and get set up.

After my parents died 3 years ago, I moved in with my friend. Of course, I would hang out with her and her guy all the time. Well, one day my guy friend announced he was getting a roommate. Well, it happened to be Chris, they guy they had been wanting to set me up with. They introduced me to him, but it wasn't like dating right away. It was more like hello as we passed.

Well, as time went on we talked more. We found out we both had Annual Pass to Disneyland, and he invited me to come with him. We started to just hang out as friends. It just sorta blossomed from there.

We are about to celebrate our 2 year wedding ann. in September. I call him "My Prince Charming" because I LOVE the movie Cinderella and I know that he makes all my dreams come true. So, if not for our roommates we would not be in our "Happily Ever After."

Sorry, if that is a very long winded explanation...but it is the only way to tell it. :lovestruc Hope I did not bore anybody...:rolleyes1

Do you have any allergies or are you sensitive to any smells?

No allergies.

I have been taking my daughter to the library this summer in part of a reading program, and she really likes going to it. So, today's QOTD is-

Do you go to your library? How about your family?

I usually just go online and request the books I want--they call me to pick them up when my local library gets them. (All the libraries in our county are linked--so the book you want might not be in the library you go to). But I reread good books, so I buy a lot of them.

Prince Charming....

DH and I met at a frat party at Penn State!:rotfl2: :drinking1 He's 2 years younger, tho, so we dated for a while until I graduated. We met up again when I was in Boston and he did a co-op in Hartford, CT.

Do you have any allergies or are you sensitive to any smells?

I have no allergies but when I became pregnant for the first time perfume made me feel ill. I gave away all of my lovely perfumes. Only now can I wear a ver select few and they have to be fruity ones.

I go through phases of reading. I am very fussy about what I read so sometimes I don't see anything I like. My DDs love the library and get books out regularly. Our local council runs a reading scheme over the summer brak to encourage kids to read. It's a very good idea. :thumbsup2

Everyone, feel free to tell us how you, and your SO met.

My DH and I met when I was 16 and he was 19. I had an after school job in a food production factory. He started working there as a stop-gap between other jobs. When I first saw him I thought he had the most gorgeous smile. It was love over pies! We enjoyed chatting while working and he gave me his number. That was 15 years ago and we have been married for 12 years last month. I'm so lucky that I found my Prince when I was so young. It means I did not have to kiss too many frogs to find him! :rotfl2:

I have been admitted once through the emergency room. It was a terrible experience and one I hope not to repeat. I had been feeling poorly for weeks with sore throat, cold etc and despite numerous trips to the doctor nothing was done and my DH ended up taking me through to the ER when I could no longer open my mouth properly. I was admitted with a quinsy and started treatment straight away. I took a few days to recover and spent a miserable Christmas Eve in hospital before being allowed home on Christmas Day. I took a few weeks after that to recover properly.

I have also been admitted for a tonsillectomy and for pregnancy induced hyperension which resulted in my DD being born 4 weeks early by C section, thankfully fighting fit and a very healthy 6lb 11!!

Did you ever have a time that you were admitted into the hospital for anything?

Tonsils and pneumonia when I was in elementary school. Wisdom teeth extraction at 16. Adult-2 miscarriages, 2 cysts removed, 3 children. Should I count the endoscopy next month? :rotfl2: I tell my kids they gave me my stomach problems with their bickering. :goodvibes

What are the typical dishes that you cook each week/month for your family? Ex. Spagetthi, beef stew....
Spaghetti, roast, assorted chicken dishes, pork chops, brisket, hamburgers and add soups/stews in the cooler months.

Do you have any allergies or are you sensitive to any smells?
No allergies except seasonal. I don't care for perfumes and can only tolerate plain apple scented candles in my home. I can use peach in a pinch.

Do you go to your library? How about your family?
I love going to the library but haven't been in a little over a year. I have to go through a lot of street construction to get there plus the parking lot is so small, there is hardly a place to park. I currently get my books from a local thrift shop. They only cost fifty cents and the money helps the local needy. A new one is being built and should open this Fall. I can't wait!

How did you, and your prince charming meet?
On a blind date. I got to be friends with a girl in junior college whose boyfriend was a good friend of my husbands. She introduced us because she was jealous of DH and BF's once a week night out playing pool. BF worked the night shift at a Dallas pub and she felt he should spend all of his off time with her. Needless to say, her plan worked, we dated for three years, was engaged a fourth and celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary last Thursday. What's sad, because of her jealousy, DH and BF lost track of each other years ago.

Did you ever have a time that you were admitted into the hospital for anything?
I've been fairly healthy (knock on wood!). I've been admitted for two D&C's, one because of a miscarriage and two pregnancy's.

If you were compared to someone that stars on a t.v. series, reality show....who would it be, and why?

What sort of activities do you like to do over the weekend by yourself, or with your family?
