dzee, once again you're killing me with talk about pastries!!

There is no bakery as such here. Awful! The best we have is that the grocery stores make donuts and cakes. I canfind some good breads, but they're not fresh unless I drive an hour to Wegman's. This is why I've learned to bake!

I would get gooey cinnamon buns, pecan pie, fresh donuts.

now I'm hungry....

Lynne not having a decent bakery here is reason enough for me to bake and I always loved to bake. I can make it all just prefer not too, so we don't get a lot of cakes and pies, I also don't make the fancy stuff. However come Christmas time I bake up the cookies.

Lucky you!! We have tried both lunch and dinner and the only ressie we could get were between 8;45 and 9!!!! Our friends wanted to try this restaurant and I tried to get ressies for everyday we were there with zreo luck!!!Those times they gave us were way too late for us old people to eat The teens wouldn't have cared when they ate but we can't eat that late! I need some of your Meriweather fairy godmother magic!! I'm going to try again!! Keep your fingers crossed!!

Aww...good luck. Our lunch ressie is at 12:45 and our dinner at 6:30.
It helps if it is a longer trip and you do it toward the end.
That 90+10 makes a huge difference for the beginning of the trip times. They are usually gone!

I would like to have an all-expense paid trip to WDW. Nothing fancy, just a room at POP would be OK with me.

I would like the north pole to send some SNOW our way, and the more the merrier!! We are in the middle of a rare hot streak, with temps expected in the low to mid 30's C here (which is just around 100F or more). We normally get temps in the mid to high 20's C, but we're roasting here. Temps are expected to get around 32C today. So some snow would be a welcome relief. Have a great day!

We're there with you Trish. I don't however want any snow!! Just my moderate 75-80 would be nice. I guess it is trying to get me ready for my visit to AZ in Aug!!
We hit 99 today.....96 yesterday. VERY odd for us.
99 ties the highest I have seen it in the 32 years we have lived in WA!!

Try again for Le Cellier....my friend got it yesterday(for Oct), and there was a whole thread about how many people got ressies for it yesterday. Something opened up a bunch of tables. Keep trying! Especially at around 45 days out, too--that's when the final payment is due and people cancel.

Thanks Lynne! I will definitely try now for our Oct. trip!! We are going in Dec.too so if I can't get Oct I will be on the phone for Dec!! I am determined to get ressies there!! We ate there one New Year"s Eve and we absolutely loved it!! We tried to get ressies there in April because friends of ours have never eaten there!! I tried 2 months out and kept trying until right before we went away with no luck!!! Hopefully I will have some luck for one of my upcoming trips!! If not Oct.or Dec. then I'll shoot for April when we go with our friends again! I hope to get there one trip or another!!

For my birthday, I would like to be at the Wilderness Lodge/Villas, and go to dinner at Artist Point. Not going to happen in 2010, (just bad timing) but there's a chance it could be in 2011!

I agree that you should keep trying to get Le Cellier...it could happen.
