No I have not and I have even been exposed numerous times, even as an adult and never gotten the chicken pox. My poor sister got them in her early thirties, her resistance was down and she came in contact with a cousin who had the shingles.

As a matter of fact I have never gotten any of the childhood maladies except for the measles, in my mouth from the vaccine.

Yes, I had chicken pox and a broken arm at the same time when I was 6. Guess where most of the spots were? Yeah, on the broken arm! My mum had to pour calamine lotion down the cast and poke it down with a knitting needle!

Yes, when I was 5. I misssed a week of kindergarten. And boy, was I itchy!

Yes to chicken pox...had the mumps at the same time too. I was 3 or 4.

I would love to send you about 15 degrees Heidi. And I am sure my kids could spare about 30 degrees 115-120 in AZ right now

Oh yes I did,but I did it the hard way!! I was 28 years old!!!! My DH and I took my nephew up to my Mom and Dad"s lake house for the weekend with us not knowing he was exposed to the chicken pox from a cousin!! My DS was just 1 (the same one who turns 21 today!!!!)and he caught them!!!! But not only did he get them I got them,my DH got them and my brother got them!!! I thought I had them but my Mom told me it was the measles and my MIL said it was the same with my DH!! Needless to say we were soooo sickthat my Mom had to take care of all 4 of us!! Thank God for MOMS!!!

One of my cousins got chicken pox just in time for her WEDDING!!!! So she didn't get to go on her honeymoon, her new husband had to take care of her. It must have been OK, they are still married 28 years later!

Have you ever had the chicken pox?

yes. My sister had them, and she was gettig so much attention! I was probably 3 or 4. So I went up and kissed her.

DS9 just had to get his booster for it on Monday. His Dr and I were laughing in the office that back in the old days parents knew you'd get it anyway, so they'd put you with kids who had it to get it over with.

LOL...not that old day
When DD had them (she was 3), it was her birthday and everyone was anxious for their kids to come to her party and get them and get it over with. Good pary turn out that year!!

I had them when I was in 1st grade. I remember doing one particular puzzle over and over again. Don't know why... we had others. I guess I just really liked it! Funny the memories you have associated with certain times in your life!

I got the chicken pox around the age of 5 all over my face mostly. I remember rubbing bars of cocoa butter on my skin to help get rid of the scars. It smelled good enough to eat!

Dips, salsa, & chips?


Do you like to eat chips, and dip? Chips with salsa? Or just regular chips?

I am not a fan of dips really, but I love salsa so I would say chips with salsa.

Tostitos with mild salsa but I will also eat ruffles potato chips with a french onion dip.

Chips and Salsa of course (white corn tortilla chips and hot salsa to be precise)

Love Mexican so it's definitely chips and salsa!!!
I also like Ruffles and French onion dip once and awhile!!!

love chips, but don't eat them, so don't have them around the house.
We do have sweet potato chips once in a while or root vegetable chips.

Favorite dips are onion, avocado or spinach.
