how does one start a exchange? I was thinking a vacation one would be fun for summer and I have a idea of how I want to do it but Im not sure the protocol on this site. Ive done swaps on the craftsters board.

You would put together all of your info.
Name, address, cost of exchange, send by dates, and so fourth. Tell the participants what type of exchange it is, and what is required of them, ....
And have participants pm you to sign up.
Try taking a look at the current or past exchanges to get a feel of what info. you should put down on your sign up :).

Oh thats like they do them on craftsters. I think I could handle that. Ive done a few thousand over there!

I don't remember doing much for spring break as a kid.
My boys spend every break or long weekend with the ILs. We will be going to Pigeon Forge after Easter this year.

If you were to teach a class of some sort to high schoolers based upon your hobby, what you know, and have knowledge of....what would you teach them?

Have a great time! We have a weekend planned in Pigeon Forge in April!

Sadly my hobby would include logic puzzles. They would hate me and I would be stoned before the class was over.

to the mom with the kid on spring break:
SLIME (the nice eatable kind, just incase the little one eats it)
yarn bugs (big hit at the YMCA afterschool program)
coloring pages (let her put them up on a wall for a gallery)
Teach her to sew (hey, i learned at 5)
bake cookies (messy but fun)
pick a county and visit it (go to libary, find a recipe and cook, make art, My Y kids love this)
Beads?
Take a day trip somewere (can be fun)

Thank you for those ideas.

Happy St.Patricks Day everyone!

Today's QOTD is-
How many of you will be doing something to celebrate St.Patricks Day? Wearing green, eatting corned beef, and cabbage, drinking green beer, going to a pub....?

I will be making corned beef, and cabbage for dinner tonight. And will make green sprinkle pancakes, and magical green milk for my daughter, and son.

I'm wearing the green today but that's about it. I'm exhausted! We did ten hours of Girl Scout cookie booth sales this weekend. The weather was great but boy do I have a sun burn. We're heading to downtown Dallas tomorrow for another three hours during the lunch hour. Hopefully we'll sell off what we have left.

I like to crochet and sew so it would be something along that line. I also like to do crafts and it would be fun to line up some for them to do.

What is your favorite dinner meal?
I like a lot of different foods. My pick (at the moment) is Cheese Nip Chicken that I make. If I were to answer this question later today, it would probably be a totally different answer. :teeth:

If you had to pick three words to describe yourself, what would they be? Ex.creative, organized, stubborn.....

There has been many exchanges done on this board, what are you top five exchanges that you personally like?
