mickeyfan1 has hosted the antenna topper exchange in the past.

I would love another used book exchange....but I don't think Kirby is hosting anymore :( Maybe we can convince her ;)

What type of toppings do you like on your pizza?
Do you usually eat it with any side dishes or just by itself?

Pizza with extra cheese or spinach with alfredo sauce. Sometimes with breadsticks, must mostly alone.

How about combining an exchange --
like a used cookbook exchange. :) Get something "different". No one has to pay any $ out, except for postage. And the cookbooks can be mailed Media Mail, which is less expensive and may only take an extra day or two in mail time.

Or a White Elephant Exchange. And rather have an all at once multiple person exchange, have a chain exchange.
Someone mails someone a white elephant item.
That person in turn can either keep the item, and mail another. Or mail the item they received on to someone else.
And that person can either keep what they receive, or mail it on, etc.
And maybe for any item that is passed on, include a note showing where the item came from so we can see the path it takes.
:hippie:
Pin people sometimes do something along this line. It is usually called Pin Zapped, or Zinged.
Someone mails a pin. That person can keep it or pass it on, etc.
The more non-desireable pins are sometimes called Rusty Nails (as opposed to the opposite -- a Holy Grail).
So we could have a Rusty Nail (pin) exchange.

For the QOTD-I like a combination pizza, and we usually have a salad or soup with it.

Luv2Roam, interesting exchange ideas :).

If you were to be in the customer service industry, what company would you like to work for other then Disney?

I like pizza with mushrooms, olives, onion and pepperoni.
Or chicken garlic.
Usually alone or with a salad.

I would never want to be in the customer service industry ;)

I've done CS in high school and soon after. I will NEVER do that again, for anyone other than Disney.

For yesterday's QOTD I like BBQ chicken pizza,or veggie pizza.Sometimes i like a salad or breadsticks, but most of the time just by itself.I did customer service in HS,and I hated it.

Here recently I have been just happy with cheese pizza. But if I were to choose toppings, they would be hamburger, bell pepper, onion, mushrooms and black olives.

Wouldn't want to do customer service. Now I wouldn't mind being a stocker in a store and helping the occasional customer that needed help. I did work in a service department once but it was behind the scenes. I only spoke to the customer over the phone. It wasn't too bad.

I've thought of doing something like the White Elephant exchange you described Luv2Roam. I know that I've sworn off exchanges for now but I might consider coming back for something like that. I'll be honest, for me, the exchanges have become a little lack luster now that we have our own board. We had much better participation when we were part of the CB. I wonder if they would let us back in?

Pizza..if I order it out only cheese or pepperoni. Now if I make it I also like chicken, sausage and meatballs/ground beef on it. We don't usually have anything else with it.

Customer Service...DH and I own an Electrical Contracting Business so I guess I'm already doing "Customer Service". But I think it would have to be for a company/product that I really support and like. Like Hershey's or Gertrude Hawk Chocolates :rotfl:

Kimba

I agree with Kimba. I would have to work for a company that I like their products, so it would be for someone like Gerber, or such.

Since it is the hot summer months, how are you keeping cool?
Do you have any recipes to share?

Pizza..yummy! We eat pizza every weekend. :) I like a chicken alfredo pizza (only if from pizza inn). My main fave is pepperoni and italian sausage and extra cheese. I lile garlic/cheese bread with my pizza too.

As for customer service.. could not do it. I could not deal with mad people all day..lol

We can always do a BOC exchange! That would be box of crap!! lol Anyone here woot? ;) It would be like that. You just gather up stuff from your house that you do not want..just your random crap around the house. It can be anything..some of it funny, and some maybe good, but just no use to you. You load up a box and send it out to your person. It is always fun to go through the pile of crap the mailman leaves in a box on your porch! ;) :lmao:

I have air condition.

Moist Caramel Apple Cake
1 pkg. (2 layer size) yellow cake mix
1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O vanilla or french vanilla flavor instant pudding & pie filling
1 cup water
4 eggs
1/3 cup vegetable oil
3 granny smith aples, peeled, coarsely chopped
20 Kraft caramels, unwrapped
1/4 cup milk

Perheat oven to 350º. Grease and flour a 12-cup fluted bundt pan or a 10-inch tube pan.
Beat cake mix, dry pudding mix, water, eggs, and oil in a large bowl with electric mixer on low speed until blended. Beat on high speed 2 min. Gently stir in apples. Pour into prepared pan.
Bake 50 min. to 1 hour or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool 20 min.; remove from pan. Cool completely.

Microwave caramels and milk in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 1/2 min., stirring every 30 sec., until blended. Cool 10 min. untill slightly thickened.
Drizzle over cake.

I might be talked into an exchange like that. A flat rate box would be your friend when you are ready to ship.

Central A/C is the only way to survive a Florida summer. We keep it at 75. I thought I would melt and die in March, April and May when the old A/C died and I had to wait to get a new system installed. I have no idea how anyone lived here before A/C.

I try not to use the oven as often as I usually do in the summer months to keep it cooler in here. I'd love to see some of everyone's lighter recipes, summer salads, etc.
