Is everyone ready for Christmas?
::yes::

All gifts are bought, wrapped and shipped (if needed). We are going to Hershey Park's Candy Lane on Friday and Sweet lights too.

Not sure if anyone is interested in seeing this, but last night while my daughter was watching The Disney Channel, they said that on Christmas morning on ABC, they are going to show the Disney parade :).
My daughter and I will be watching :thumbsup2 , as we open our presents.

::yes:: The parade will be on here, not sure if anyone will be watching it though.
Maybe I should just tape it for me later :teeth:

I'm only 30 miles from Hershey! :goodvibes We love going in the summer, but I've never made it there for the Xmas lights.

I haven't been here in a while, trying to get ready for xmas. I only had a few things left to get, but it seemed to take me forever!

We have ham for Xmas. I used to make all the foods I grew up with, like perogies and halupki, but my kids won't eat it.

It sure is quiet in here.
I guess with Christmas so close everyone is getting busy.

So.....when the new year starts, and the exchanges get back in high gear again, what kind of exchanges would you all like to see?
Any ideas for something new? Or a bit different?

Hi Nancy.
I'm trying to get things done today. The times seems to go by very fast.
Want to come over and help me wrap 50 spring rolls :rotfl: .
Shayla also said that she wants to bake, so I need to do that with her this afternoon, clean the house, do the laundry, make dinner....
Oh and change Brandon's yucky diaper that he is making for me right now :rotfl2: .
As for new exchanges....hmmmm I need to think about that. Do you have any ideas?

LOL...I did end up doing 2 batches of cookies :)
Did the grocery shopping and cleaning.
Off to the airport tomorrow morning to get DD and then back again Sat. afternoon to get DS and DDIL .

Nope, no ideas on exchanges. I most likely won't be joining any for awhile because of the trip (other that the envelope one ;) ).

I am trying this new chocolate chip cookie recipe and the interesting things is that it calls for vanilla pudding so it will or should be moist, and also the cookies don't flatten out, and they are plump looking. We are waiting for the first tray to cool off so that we can sample it ;).
Exchanges, I am going on vacation as well, so not sure on future exchanges as well. I think I will do the Easter basket one again.

I have made the cookies with pudding before. They are good, but I still prefer the original Toll house. :) I made orangy sugar cookies too so DD can decorate them tomorrow.

I go on another vacation in March also.
I know I will do the spring Yankee and regional cookbook, but not sure about any others.

We're back from a great WDW vacation. We have today and tomorrow to get ready for the next week + away trip. This one not as relaxing, we'll probably put 2500 miles on the car before getting back home. However, we'll see just about all of our close family and even a few friends, so it's "worth it."

About the pierogi note awhile ago, I tried making some nalisniki (cheese filled pancake/crepes) and I haven't quite gotten the recipe quite right. I'm annoyed that I let it go until the last minute. On Christmas day, the lunch meal is traditional Polish food, much of it is store bought, and I really wanted to "wow" the family with that memory...next year.

Glad you all seem to be enjoying the last minute things and gathering family together.

Bobbi :)

PS. My friend was very surprised and we were all happy to eat our "Celebrating Friendship" cake from Le Cellier on Monday!

Wow 2,500 miles that is a very long drive.
I wish we could drive from state to state here instead of having to fly.
Have a fun trip and happy holidays Bobbi. :)

Glad the trip went well, Bobbi and that the cake was a hit :)

I'll be doing about 700 miles in airport trips between tomorrow and 1-7  Too many trips.
Sounds like you will be doing a lot of driving. Hope the weather is kind to you ::yes::
