I always try to get mine down before New Years. I took it down this year the day after Christmas

it changes every year depending on what is going on...............this year it is going down on Thursday.
The rest of the decorations are getting put away today

What was your most memorable part of Christmas?

My boyfriend got me a GIANT stuffed giraffe for Christmas! When I went downstairs, he had wedged it in between the couch and Christmas tree, and wrapped it in a black garbage bag. It's amazing! And four and a half feet tall!

In our house, we always have leftover candy canes. What do you do with your candy canes other then tossing them away? Use them to stir hot cocoa, ...?

The boyfriend's son gets them all.

Is New Years Eve, and day a celebrated holiday for you, and your family or more of another day, or a start of another year?

I used to go out and celebrate it, but I don't much like crowds anymore... so I'd rather just stay in and watch the ball drop on TV while drinking rum and apple cider. It's mostly just another day.

We will have a child free New Years Eve.... we plan on watching TV and having a few drinks.

I'm not happy or sad. It's just another year gone by. It was an interesting one, but now there's a new one coming up!

Same here. I am glad that most of the holiday festivities have finished so that we can finally start to relax, but at the same time sad that it is over since I love the holidays. Just to busy with everything to really enjoy the holidays.

We couldn't decide what to have so we went out for sushi.

Yes. I get every cold that comes through our house.

Soft boiled, hard boiled, scrambled, sunny-side up.

Not too huge on omelettes, but if I do have one, I'll add cheese, spinach and bacon.
