Happy St.Patrick's Day!!!

Today's QOTD is-
Will you be doing anything to celebrate St.Patrick's Day? Will you be wearing green? Eatting corned beef, and cabbage?

I'm wearing a green shirt. We're going to eat corned beef on Saturday since we don't have time to cook it today. (no slow cooker here)

Definately wearing green today. Carol would not pass up a chance to pinch me if I wasn't.

Do you like to eat at or take out a restaurants that serve chicken? Ex. Kentucky Fried Chicken, Popeyes....? What is your favorite type of chicken? Ex. Crispy, Original, Popcorn chicken...? And what side dishes do you like?
I like Church's fried chicken the best. I like mashed potatos and fried okra as sides.

I'm wearing a green shirt! Did some planting, herb seeds and onion sets. DH is in TX will be home tomorrow, so I'll have the corned beef cooking tomorrow! HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY TO ALL!!!!

No, we don't do anything to celebrate St Particks day here in England. We don't do anything to celebrate St Georges day and he is our patron saint!!

KFC's Extra Crispy chicken (ahh I can dream even though I can't eat it due to allergies!!)

Hello everyone. It is nice to be back at home, have my husband's surgery over with, and to be able to sleep in my own bed. I have so many things to catch up on, and I am stressing out big time right now. Things are so overwhelming. :sad1: It seems like I never get a break, and something always pops up.

As for Church's chicken, my friend in Texas used to mention to me about eatting there, and liking their chicken. Yesterday while I was away, I had actually seen one. I didn't think they had them here in Hawaii. But since the night before we had gotten KFC, and since in actuality I am not a big fan of chicken, I had gotten Korean food. But, I will keep it in mind for a next trip.

Hope everyone is doing well. I am about to post the QOTD for tomorrow.

Everyone here is sleeping, and the house is so quiet. We do not have any close neighbors, or anyone that is playing their loud music so I am able to concentrate, and have some me time to catch up on things. So todays QOTD is-

Do you get any ME time, and if so, what do you like to do during that time?

Sorry your a bit stressed Patsy.

I get me time everyday, I am a stay at home wife and there are no children.

Patsy, hope your day gets better and you have a really good weekend. Praying for a quick recovery for your husband!

Since I work at home and the kids are grown, I get ME time fairly regularly. I usually am reading, don't watch tv during the day. On weekdays, I have to always be ready to answer the business line, so if I'm taking some ME time, it can be interrupted quite frequently just as if I had small children.

Patsy, praying for a quick recovery for your DH.

I have ME time all the time. With my sons all away at college I have lots of time alone during the week. One or two of them will come home for the weekend with lots of dirty clothes. I really enjoy my days when my DH is also on the road, he does sales and his office is out of our home. I love his office being at home, I just don't get as much done when he's in his office.

If I'm home I'm usually on the computer on and off throughout the day, cleaning or my mom and I will spend the day together shopping and having lunch.

I'm a generation behind you guys, and have kids in Kindergarten and Grade 1. So my me time is rare and hard to get, especially with driving the kids to school 3 times a day (DS7 to school in the morning, DS5 in the early afternoon and picking up both at 3pm). Am looking forward to both being in school fulltime come Sept. DH promised me a trip to anywhere I want, but is starting to realize that I'm looking serious about it, and is getting nervous. I'm a stay at home mom, but once the kids are in school fulltime in the fall, will look into getting a part time office job after both trips are over next year. The trips are going to be 6 weeks apart, and figure the safest and closest place to go is DL. At least I can take as many photos till my hearts content (I"m a photo geek!), and is a easy 3 hr flight for me.

I have a daughter that is in 2nd grade, as well as a 3 1/2 year old son. :)

Thank you for the well wishes ladies.

What is your favorite cake, and frosting combination?

I would have to say German Chocolate Cake, Red Velvet Cake or Carrot Cake. I stopped baking except for on Holidays, just don't want any sweets sitting around the house. I don't have any will power to stay away from them. I have such a sweet tooth.

My favorite, favorite cake is Ice Cream Cake. Didn't think you were talking about this kind of cake.

What is your favorite cake, and frosting combination?
I don't care for icing and would just assume eat cake plain but if I had to choose a cake with icing, it would be german chocolate with that icing you put on it or chocolate cake served with whipped cream frosting.

Today, I had made two mud pies-one for us, and one to bring to my daughter's tennis practice for her, her friends, and the parents. It was a yummy treat. So today's QOTD is associated to it.

What is your most favorite frozen treat? Ex. Ice cream, popsicles, ice cream cake......?
