Its been a very long time since we got together.

I try to see at least one of my friends every week, even if it's just a trip to Barnes and Noble for coffee. It's getting harder with everyone's schedules, tho. Most work and our weekends are busy with hockey for another month.

Back home, in Boston, my dearest friend and I went out just about every weekend - shopping, movies, lunch. I miss her so much.

Here, I have one friend who lives about an hour away and we get together about once a month.

I moved from Boston to NC, too, before we moved back to PA. It used to kill me driving ...everything seemed so much slower!

Yes, it is very different here...but most difficult is that we lived right in Cambridge, so I never needed to drive....so never learned to drive, never owned a car....now we live in a subdivision (very weird), no sidewalks, no where to walk..ugh...I feel very isolated.

We are seeing a friend of ours, and are going on a road trip to Victoria first thing Saturday morning to check out a 1952 Chevy firetruck (DH has a thing for big vintage vehicles). Leaving the kids behind with Grandma.
