Since we are at the middle of the month...how has this month been for you?

My cruise was wonderful, but did come home to about 4 foot of snow. The hardest thing about the snow is looking around the corners while you are driving, the snow is so high you really can't see around it in order to pull out into your lane and some of the other drivers aren't being carefully and driving at their regular speed.

Which would you choose?

I fits alot of chicken dishes, my family enjoy Chicken and stuffing, Chicken and rice, Chicken Parmesan, Baked chicken, Fried chicken, etc.

What is your top three favorite chicken dishes?

Sour cream chicken enchiladas, homemade chicken noodle soup, chicken baked in breadcrumbs. I love chicken!!

I am getting the H1N1 shot today . So, my question to you is....



Have you gotten the H1N1 shot? What do you think about the different cases that you hear of? Are you taking any special precautions to protect yourself from it......?

No I have not gotten the shot, have not heard about to many cases and no one I know has gotten the flu. No special precautions.

I got the shot last Nov. when DH had the flu.
No special precautions now, but when he had the flu, I was making sure everything was disenfected. Made him carry Lysol wipes around with him, so he wasn't touching anything Guess it worked, I didn't get it.

H1N1 was rampant in all our local schools last fall. We did everything we could as far as disinfecting and carrying hand sanitizer and keeping it in the kids' desks/lockers. But there was no getting away from it with 3 boys. DH14 had it before we left for Disney. DS9 tested positive for it while there. (FYI-Urgent Care is VERY easy to get to if you ever need it while there!) Both had only a day or two of fever/sick...it was that horrible cough that lingered for a few weeks. DS9 was put on Tamiflu--can't say if that's why he was feeling better in 24 hours. DS13 was sick when we got back, and they treated him as if he had it and then gave him the shot as well a few weeks later. He has asthma, so they cover all bases with him.

I haven't had that vaccination, just the regualr flu shot.

I got it and had no side effects other than a sore arm for a day or two. I'm my parents main mode of transportation and care so I need to try and stay well. They are in average health and don't need to catch anything from me. I just try to wash my hands ASAP once I get home from shopping and wipe the grocery cart handle bar down with a wet wipe that Kroger has by the door before I shop. Also try to keep my hands away from my face when I'm out.

Have you gotten the H1N1 shot? What do you think about the different cases that you hear of? Are you taking any special precautions to protect yourself from it......?

Both my DH and I got our H1N1 shot before taking our Cruise. I didn't want to take any chances of getting the flu while on vacation. I've heard when illness hits those cruise ships than sometimes it goes through the whole ship. The only thing I notice on our ship was sea sickness from rough seas, we both were fine during the whole trip.

Both myself and my 2 boys got the H1N1 shots in early Nov. I got a moderate allergic reaction to the shot, but my older son got a severe case of body aches and head aches for 24 hrs after the shot. So be aware of this when you get the shots. Can't be too careful these days with all the flu viruses out there.

What are your top 5 favorite fast food restaurants, and what do you like from each restaurant?

Sonic - combo #1 - hamburger w/lettuce, tomatos, pickles and mustard, fries and a Coke.

Taco Bell - combo #5 - supreme nachos, taco and a Pepsi.

Scholotsky's - regular sandwich with a Coke and sometimes soup of the day.

Chick-fil-A - grilled chicken sandwich with fries and a Coke.

Subway - a 6" sandwich on wheat with roast beef, white cheese, green pepper, lettuce, cucumber, guacamole and yellow mustard with a Coke.

Chicken Express - fried chicken livers with okra and a Coke.

I'm trying Panda Express tonight so that might be a new favorite. A lot of people like to eat there.
