EXCELLENT Alamo rate!

I take it no one is getting these fabulous rates for December?
A three week December rate is coming up at over $1000.
Assume that is due to being so far away, but just wondering if anyone is getting the great rate for fall/winter yet?

well as of this morning the rates are down again for the minivan I am still getting 104 after taxes for the week.

$104 including taxes, etc. for a minivan is beyond belief! I'm not geting anythign near that with all the various combinations of codes and coupons. What combination are you using?

It depends on your dates. I got my minvan down to $121 for the week 5/3-5/9, but it's now up to $240.

WOW that is amazing, I can't wait to see what my rental will be for early December! Right now it is $302 for 8 days but it has dropped $50 since I started looking, I will book when it gets to the lower 200's... I love the thrill of the hunt and finding good deals.

That is a great deal. My daughter has a week rental (Apr. 29-May 5) for a mid-size SUV and her total is $106. Using the walmart code and the online $15 coupon. I wanted to use the $25 coupon, but the contract code brings the price up. I did hear that Alamo will not let you mix and match codes and coupons. I got a mid-size SUV for $228 total for 2 weeks using the prepay code and $15 coupon. I would like to switch the mid-size SUV for the minivan, so will be watching for my daughter, (who did not do the prepaid as I did).

The coupons usually say right on them which vehicles that may or may not work on. I presume when no car type is listed that it is an "across the board" discount... no matter what, I always try to enter the coupon code to see what it says. If it will not work or will only work on certain car types, the website will also guide you with that (where it shows the price of the car, it will either say "coupon will be applied" or it will just be the car price and no other text.

My sister-in-law had used a pre-pay code and coupon. She later cancelled that reservation and forfeited the $5.00 fee b/c the savings with the second booking was still worth it, even with the $5.00 fee.

This uses a contract code with the coupon, does anyone know what that contract code stands for? Like Walmart or costco or what? Thanks!

I just checked back at the Alamo site last night and rates dropped another $5.00 for a compact and a mid size car. I canceled my compact for $89.92(total with $15 coupon and walmart code) and rebooked a midsize for just $2.00 more using the walmart code and $20 off coupon.
