Exactly HOW bad is the week after Easter?

I'm actually hoping that week will not quite as crazy. We arrive on the 10th--the Sat after Easter, so I'm hoping some of the crowds will be gonepixiedust:

Hope I'm right--or is it wishful thinking:confused3

That is what I was thinking. We arrive on the 10th - 20th, I was hoping to get a little break since Easter was the week before. I am not even telling my family there's a chance of insane crowds. The kids would deal with it, not sure how DH would feel. So far I haven't had a problem getting any meal reservations. So I thinking that's a good thing. Come on I got Rose and Crown and LeCelliar without a problem. That's good right?pixiedust:

We, too, are going the week of/after Easter, and it makes me nervous seeing so many who are. But, we did it two years ago, and it went okay...it was crowded, but not so bad that I swore it off forever (DH either, and he would have been much more likely to do so). The kids and I will have fun no matter what! :thumbsup2

Not only did the spring breaks and Easter align last year, but it was too cold for the water parks for a few of those days - so EVERYONE went to the parks and they reached capacity.

There are a few times that I would not go to WDW, and this is one of them. However, any day at WDW is better than a day at work...

I was at disney last year for a week at Easter (we left Disney teh day after Easter). We went to the park everyday and and never experienced a closure. We also went to the water parks that week and in the early mornings a few days is was cooler but by noon it was well over 80.

We love Easter at WDW - we will be there again this year.

I think the "perfect storm" compairison is way over the top. If you manage your tiem well and plan you will be fine. If you are the type that freaks out in crowds don't go.

It is WDW during a holiday break of course it is going to be busy.

We were there last year from the day before Easter and for the whole week following. Honestly, really, and truly, it was fine! Yes, it's crowded, but with a little planning you can have a wonderful time!

We did get there for rope drop most days, which was nice. We also made good use of fastpasses. But, because our kids are younger, the evening EMH's did nothing for us (never used them), and we were still able to go on all of our favorite rides, most of them more than once. We also met lots of characters, both in the parks (visited Tink and friends twice!) and at Chef Mickey's.

To anyone going at that time, make a plan, be flexible, and have a great trip!! I wish I was going again!

We go every year the week after Easter. I laughed when I saw the reference to the "perfect storm". We arrived at the Beach Club during a horrible storm last year! Planning is the key to a good trip when crowds are high. And it helps to be willing to change that plan as you go along!
