Exact Pirates Opening Date

Does anyone know the exact opening date of Pirates of the Caribbean in WDW? Some say July 7, some say July 1.

It is actually scheduled to reopen on July 1st. Here is the memo issued to cast

Pirates of the Caribbean will be reopening Saturday, April 8 through Sunday, April 30. The attraction will close again for continued refurbishment Monday, May 1, through Friday, June 30, reopening Saturday, July 1, 2006.

Also if you go to Disney.com and look at July, it is not listed in the refurbishments, only May and June (of course dates are subject to change based on the needs of the rehab crew, but as of now it is set for July 1)

Before I would have said, "Unlikely".

But after this year, when they re-opened Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin a FULL WEEK earlier than originally announced, I'll say, "Could be a real possibility."

Unfortunately, Buzz opened without much "refub" that the eye could see.

There were some replacement "blasters" on some cars, but mostly the cars still were in need of PAINT and the old blasters compared to the new blasters looks pretty faded.

I hope that "Pirates" will get the "full treatment" and look GOOD (along with some "clever" additions of Capt. Jack Sparrow) when they do allow in the eager guests after the rehab.

My DH and I were just there on Fri. and it was open, I asked one of the CM's and he said they would close again some time in summer to add the new stuff. The only thing I noticed that they changed was the loading area there is only one lane for the boat loading instead of 2.

I have read these conflicting re-opening dates too, and I would really love to know for sure. Please let it be July 1, since we will only be there until July 5.
