EWP on MNSSHP night

Can anyone tell me how MNSSHP and 9:30 Hallowishes affects the EWP? I'm planning dinner and fireworks viewing at the Contemporary and was wondering what would be the best way to also catch the EWP if that's plausible.

It won't affect the EWP.

You can see the Electrical Water Pageant from the beaches or Marinas on the open lake side of any of the MK area resorts.

Its just a very short (5-7 minutes) "show" that takes place ON the lagoon.

Although Electrical Water Pageant generally follows the schedule below... Inclement weather can cause cancellation of the pageant.

Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.

Electrical Water Pageant

The words conjure some phantasmagorical display of
dazzling lightning-like high voltage interplay with glittering aquatic delights, no?

Well...

My favorite saying about these kind of "simple" things comes from Hawkeye Pierce on the old M*A*S*H TV show.

"It's not much, but it's really nothing."

Although I never miss a chance to see it... inappropriate "over-anticipation"
can be built up over the "Electrical Water Pageant".

People seem to be expecting to see "Main Street Electrical Parade on the water", when it is really closer to oversized "Lite Brite" pegs mounted on some barges,

with a "Casio Keyboard" music track.

Don't get me wrong, I still love it, and it's a piece of WDW History, but first-timers, please don't get your hopes set too HIGH.

Thanks for adding the rest of that info @Robo. I've seen it before on each trip from the Poly beach and I agree with you: I love it, but it is definitely retro. I was more concerned because Disney's site timeline indicates 10 pm Wishes and extended park hours in addition to weather can change things a bit. Didn't know if MNSSHP might affect it also.

I just read that EWP is stationary at the CR instead of moving like at Poly. I'm worried that fact could make it not worth it to see; it seems like it wouldn't feel as whimsical or something? Anybody have an opinion here?

Assuming we do view EWP from the CR, any advice/suggestions? Looks like barring weather changes, it will arrive shortly after 10. I'm guessing we won't get a view of it from CG and should head down to the beach directly after Hallowishes? Any particular spot work best? We'll be navigating over to MK bus stops after.

Even if you were able to see it from inside, you wouldn't be able to hear it.
To me, no music=no show.
