Sorry, everyone - I got behind in my posting, as usual! How are you all doing?
Wow - you have quite a menagerie of furbabies, Depply! Well, as I always say - the more the merrier!

Do the dogs and cats get along with one another? Or do they live in separate homes? It's neat that you get to visit with different groups of them at different times!
Wow - there are a lot of inaccurate adjectives being thrown around the Suite, these days! Linda - you are nothing BUT "cool" and Depply - I can't imagine your being anything remotely resembling "immature", "snooty", or "disrespectful"! I think that everyone around the Suite is pretty darn cool, personally!
When is your friend's wedding, Elaine? Are you in the wedding? I haven't been to one in awhile - I need a good wedding to go to, so that we'll have an excuse to get dressed up and to dance! Oh well - there are always those clubs on
DCL to look forward to!
Before we decide on a dinner time, Linda, let's check the schedule and see what time the EWP will be coming by the Poly in May. We're usually there in June, and it comes by at 9:00 at that time of year, but it might be a little bit earlier in May. We want to be sure to have enough time to have a relaxing dinner and to get down to the dock or the beach at a leisurely pace (as opposed to last year, when Frank and I literally RAN from 'Ohana to the dock, just as the EWP was "pulling up". I threw my pocketbook on one of the poolside tables, and started running down the dock while simultaneously dialing your number on my cell phone! Poor Frank was left in my "wake" to catch up!). I'm sure that they will have the May information by the time I call to make PS's (I don't think that they ever post EWP times on the show and parade schedule), so I'll let you know! We're actually not AP holders, so I wouldn't have gotten the Mickey Monitor!
To answer your question, Elaine, all sorts of horrible things could ultimately result from eating a diet that's too low in carbs. One of them is ketosis, which is a condition involving the body needing to use something other than glucose for its energy. If left too long, it could result in cardiovascular disease, coma, and eventual death. Strangely enough, I read an article about people on the Adkins Diet who actually STRIVE FOR ketosis and test their urine to make sure that they are always in that state! Those tests are actually designed for diabetics, who need to test to ensure that they are NOT in a ketotic state! Very sad! I agree with your opinion that everyone's body metabolizes food differently. It all goes through the same process, but everyone's body handles those functions at different rates, paces, and levels of effectiveness, which is why I think that some diets work better for some than others. (personal opinion, not academic one!)
We had a nice weekend. We co-hosted a 40th Birthday dinner for an old friend with whom we used to work. And we took my father on another little "road trip" - this time to Connecticut to visit with my Aunt and cousin and her kids, whom we call our "niece" and "nephew". Again, I think that it was a nice change of scenery for him and it was nice for him to spend time with relatives whom he doesn't often get to see. My cousin and her kids just returned from WDW, so we got to see all of their pictures........and listen to endless rousing choruses of the IASW song!

It was really sentimental for me because this is the cousin with whom I shared many of my childhood trips to WDW, and IASW was always our favorite ride. So when she told me that that was the first ride that she took her kids on in the MK (and when they then started singing the song), I got all choked up!
Anyway, hope that all is well with all of you and hope that you're having a nice day! Talk to you soon!
