EWP group?

Well, even in a place like Mobile with a "safe" Mardi Gras, things happen. I forgot to tell you earlier when I visited, but Saturday night at my BIL's parade, (over the bay about 10 minutes north of Fairhope, SG,) a 50-ish man grabbed a 10 year old boy and tried to drag him into the woods. He got about 100 yards away before they both fell and the child got away, thank God. You can never be too careful. I saw the child when the police were interviewing him, and he is NOT a small, slight child.

OK, Rider, it's 32* here now, with a light freeze expected, but will warm up to 60* or so tomorrow. We will skip the festivities downtown, it's too crowded and gets a little rowdy for me with 3 kids in tow.

Well, I'm still trying to catch up on my lost sleep from Saturday night. I would love to go to O'hana, though. I love the salad and grilled shrimp. Count me in. I would also like to go to EPCOT and get chocolate mousse and bavarian cream with strawberries, as well as a hot cup of coffee in France. After we ate dinner at LeCellier last month, we walked to the Boardwalk and rented a surrey(sp?) while we waited for Illuminations to begin. We were back in no less than 5 minutes, we pedaled so fast. I was laughing so hard, and the girls were in the front ringing the bell, and as we went around the curve toward the Beach club, I was about to fall off, and scared to death that I was going to fall off and roll into the lake. We were NOT safe drivers, running people off the road, and overtaking a lady and her son as they took a leisurely ride around the place. Oh, what a memory! Good night, everybody.

Angelina

Stop it, Angelina - you're making me hungry!! (And everyone needs to stop talking about Krispy Kremes - you're making my mouth water!) Mmmmmm......just thinking about all of those tasty treats that can be found in the "World"! Soon it will be time for us to start making our priority seatings for our trip in June (I always start making them at the earliest time when one can make them - 2-3 months in advance, depending on the venue!), and planning out our schedule - yea!! This year, we want to try some of the restaurants in The Grand Floridian (I've only ever been to Narcoosee's), Restaurant Marrakesh in Morroco, Boma's in the AKL, and I want Frank to eat at Cinderella's Royal Table, even if we can't get a PS for the character breakfast. I ate there years ago, when it was King Stephan's Banquet Hall, and I want Frank to have the experience of eating in the Castle! Of course, we will go back to our favorites - 'Ohana, the Kona Cafe, the California Grille, The Hollywood Brown Derby, etc. I'd like to try Hollywood and Vine this year, too. I have to wait till I have an idea about my Fantasmic friend's work schedule before I set our park / dining plans in stone, 'cause we're going to get together with him on one of his days off, and want to be sure that the night we choose to see Fantasmic will be one when he is working. I just love planning out trips to WDW! :)

Those were very nice song lyrics, Helenabear! I don't know that I've ever heard that song, but it sounds really nice.

That was a pretty scary story, Angelina. Well, I guess that things like those can unfortunately happen anywhere, even in the seemingly safest of environments. It's very sad. But it sounds like the festivities, in general, have been going really well and are a lot of fun! And the area where you live does sound beautiful - I wish that I could see those commercials that you were talking about!

I agree with Helenabear, SG - you ARE the founding member of the EWP Groupies, and the person who established our Suite! We just came along for the ride, such as it is! :) And what a ride it's been - look how many posts we have! We will be reaching our one-year anniversary in the Suite, in a few months! (Do you think that they will let us extend our reservations, here?) We will have to do something to celebrate that most auspicious occasion, when it arrives! At the very least, we will have to have another "virtual EWP viewing" at that time!

Jstmee - please come back and visit us again, soon - when ever you have a chance and are in the mood! We're always happy to hear from you and are thinking about you!

Well, things are fine up here in the Garden State. I was looking forward to a nice, quiet long holiday weekend, this weekend....but then I found out yesterday that my future in-laws (who live over 100 miles away in South Jersey) are coming up to visit us and Frank's sister, unexpectedly (Frank's step father usually works Saturdays, so they never come up here.....he just found out that he doesn't have to work this weekend.....so they're coming). I just wish that we had more notice - we all had to cancel what ever plans we'd made and totally schedule our weekend around their visit. Plus, at first I thought that they were expecting to stay with us, at least one night (I was freaking out - 4 adults and 6 cats in a townhouse could be just a little too......"cozy" for my tastes!). I was thinking of all of the conversations that we all had, just before Helenabear's in-laws came to visit, over the holidays. Fortunately, it's apparently been decided that they will stay with Frank's sister for each of the nights that they're here. That takes at least a little bit of the pressure off of me. I'm still a bit nervous about having them come to our house for the first time, though. They're not "judgmental" or "picky" in the least, it's just that it's a little weird for me.....I can't explain or "put my finger on it". Anyway, we're trying to think of things to do with them, while they're up here. I just hope that there will be a tiny bit of "down time" over the weekend, so that I will feel like I HAD a weekend! I don't have any more time off until Passover (which runs right into Good Friday and Easter, so it will be a long holiday weekend), but that will be very stressful - helping my parents out, running errands for them, cooking, etc. The weeks are so hectic that I really need to have at least a little quiet time over each weekend. And things are really going to start getting busy with the wedding plans, soon - fittings, meetings, etc. on just about every weekend in April. Plus I need to get my taxes done (UGH)! But I know that having his mother and step father visit means a lot to Frank, so I'm trying not to get myself too worried about the short notice, what to plan, what to do, etc.

Do you know I just realized that I seriously need to have my engagement ring re-sized. As I'm writing, it's turning around on my finger and driving me crazy! It turns all the way around so that the stone bangs into the top of my palm, while I'm typing! I'm happy that my fingers are apparently smaller.....but I don't want to lose my ring! :(

OK - I'll stop rambling and get back to work, now! Have a nice day and I'll talk to you all, later! :)

OK, Angelina, you are now annointed as our resident "Wild Child". What a bad example you are for your children and what wonderful memories they will have. I have often watched the surries myself and thought how much fun they appeared to be. Thank you for bringing the experience to life for those of us who will probably never get to experience the sensation.

Did they get the man who tried to abduct the child? I certainly hope so. My 10 year old grandson insists on using the men's restroom and since we live in a relatively small community I allow it BUT I stand outside and listen as hard as I can and give him strict instructions not to engage in conversation with anyone and the holler if ANYTHING makes him nervous. The sight of this large and angry grandmother would be enough to wilt anyone's lily. (grrrrrrrrrrr) George Carlin had a routine about how all sex offenders should be put on an island where they could prey on each other. It does not seem to be a treatable condition and I have seen some who honestly appear sorry and disgusted by themselves but who admit they cannot 'help themselves'. Maybe an implant with medication to take away the urge would be a solution. I don't know what but our children deserve to grow up without the fear that they cause.

I love all the ideas for eating out way around the World. There are so many places that we have not tried yet and I ache to get around to some of them. I find myself daydreaming about attempting another trip but I am afraid I would be tempting fate. If I can find a place to stay outside for a length of time I may give it a go though, if for no other reason than to stop my DH from bugging me about retiring to Florida. He has a lot of things he 'thinks' we wants or needs. Most of them lanquish in the upstair closet as once he got them he did not use them. He wants an antique car to ride in parades. The man does not know how to check the oil in his car. I change the oil in both vehicles most of the time, when I am able. I have told him that we can afford it but it would mean giving up a week or two of vacation a year as I cannot stretch the budget further. He gets a look like a thwarted 2 year old and stamps off. Since I know that vacations are, indeed, something he really enjoys I scrimp and save where I can so we have lots of them. It gets a bit wearing on me though since I am the one who has to make all the plans and preparations, do all the driving etc. That and getting the house ready before we leave and catch up on everything when we return while he sleeps late and sits in front of the tv waiting for his next meal (better be a real one!) just gets me down in the dumps.

Whew, I am so relieved Helenabear. I was beginning to think that Luis must be a figment of your imagination. No one is as perfect as he was beginning to sound. I hope everything is worked out now and I can relate to the driving around to cool off. You are one smart lady. Had to laugh at the song though as I have been having a fit over it recently. There is a video out on the Internet called "Alien Song" and it is one of the best things I have found. While transferring files I had to go back out and hunt it down (search on AS) and try to reinstall it on my desktop. If you get a chance, please check it out. It is a hoot. It is an old song from the 70's. Well it is OLD to you but for me it is a recent memory. LOL

Dear Luis, if you are lurking around, I want to say hi! (grin) I guess being perfect is too hard to be alllllll the time but I am sure that you are working on getting back on that pedestal. Hang in there. Having been married 30 years I have to say that divorce has never been spoken of HOWEVER murder has!!!!

We 3-4 are the founding members in my opinion. My name is on the thing cause I held the door open as you all walked through. Without you all I would be in here muttering to myself as I do in my 'real world'. So there!!!

Back to cookie baking. Not going well IMHO. The small ones are nice but the big ones are spreading too much. Figures. Must have caught it from me.

Slightly Goofy/Linda

I think that you need to let us taste those cookies, SG, and we'll judge whether they are "nice" or not (hee hee!) Yum, yum, pass them over here! :)

I know the Alien "I Will Survive" video, that you're talking about, SG - that is adorable! And 70's disco music is a pretty recent memory for me, too, 'cause I rarely listen to any music recorded after 1990 - I'm a big fan of 70's disco, soul, and rock music, and 80's pop and dance music, too! Case in point: the most recent live concerts that I have seen, over the past few summers were: Chicago (I try to see them every summer - they're my absolute favorite!), Barry Manilow, Cher, Hall and Oates, Journey / Foreigner (together in one show), and KC and the Sunshine Band / Kool and the Gang / The Trammps / Gloria Gaynor (of "I Will Survive" fame) (all 4 in one show - annual 70's disco concert at the Garden State Arts Center!)

Sorry - just had to pop in and say "hi" again! I'm getting back to work, now....I really AM! :)

SG, please do tell what does IMHO mean? I've been wondering for ions. I'm having a relaxing day at home, I have a migraine, but will sleep some later. Gosh, hearing about all of your trip planning Rider makes me want to tag along, heee, I guess not on a honeymoon huh!

It's another nice day but cold -20* without wind chill. brrrr, my little "doggy dew" as I call her can barely go outside. We had her groomed for the first time and she looks sooo cute.

Gotta go, cya'll later. Wendy

Hi there everyone! I love how chatty this group is right now, but I hope no one is offended if I miss something while listening :D

Jstmee, IMHO means two things. For most it means In My Honest Opinion and for others it means In My Humble Opinion. Either way it is essentially the same thing. Of course our friend Angelina may be going to WDW at the same time so maybe we all could tag along with her ;) I guess none of us can complain with how cold (or in my case not cold) it is compared to your temps. That is COLD!!! We usually get that for a week or so in Jan, but not this year! Your poor little dog... I really feel for her having to go out in this!

Angelina, it sounds like you have such good food and a lot of fun! I am sure you kids enjoy your exciting rides and although I have never done that myself I have always thought about renting a bike while at WDW. It looks so nice and fun, especially around the Boardwalk area. That is such a nice area and very pretty. I am so glad that the child was not hurt but still that was one scary story. It baffles my mind to think what type of people are out there.

SG, you sound like such a good grandmother to watch over your boys so closely. I don't blame you for waiting for them. As sad as it is, there are some big sick people out there. Luis isn't perfect and I certainly am not perfect. But when I talk about Luis, I don't want to say all bad about him since he can't defend himself. He did make me mad for something that was big to me at the time but when I think about it now it was pointless. He just said something that hurt my feelings and then he wouldn't talk about it, so I left. If it weren't so cold I would have gone to the river to relax myself but that song came on and I sang out really loud with it and I felt so much better. Oh and don't forget to save some yummy cookies for us :D

Rider, it sounds like you have similar tastes in music to myself (with the exception of Mr. Manilow). I guess that is why I like Enrique Iglesias so much. Granted he came out with music now, but since he is less than a year off from me in age, we were raised with the same type of music and most of his music is heavily influenced by some of the 70's & 80's greatests in rock & pop music. Now that I have said that, get back to work ;)

Well I have had one heck of a morning here at work... the proverbial sh!t has hit the fan, so I think I will need to go for a walk and maybe get Jean Paul to help relax me some more. I hope to hear from you all soon :D

SG, you have beautiful grand children! What a lucky woman you are :D

I was just thinking. In honor of our upcoming anniversary, I think we all need to get into chat together and finally talk in "real time". What do you guys think?

More snow, more cold....My hands are so cold I can barely type. But, I was just outside doing the driveway again. It is a beautiful sunny day again.....It seems to snow at night. Kids are so disappointed that it wasn't a snow day today. It was like a blizzard when they woke up. But the plows were out and the dump trucks to haul off the snow were out, so now we are all cleaned up.

A real chat will be nice. helenabear, I nominate you the scheduler, since you recommended it. lol.

I better go study my religion book, I have to give a class in a few hours and haven't finished my lesson quite yet.

Everyone, have a glorious day................."can ya tell I'm feeling better".....

I go back to Boston for my cancer recheck in March and made the hotel reservations, isn't it funny, I'm soooo excited to go to Boston.....of course not for the reason, but I get an evening with my DH...

Any recommendations on a show to see?? BlueManGroup is there and Fiddler on the Roof----but I really want to see something new. The Graduate and I'll look up what else is there...Wendy

Oooh - you should definitely see "The Graduate" while you're in Boston, Wendy! It's there in "out of town trials" before coming to NYC and Broadway, and the "buzz" is already good! I can't wait until it comes here - I think it's going to be very hard to get tickets for awhile. I just love the movie with Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft! The stage version stars Kathleen Turner, Alicia Silverstone, and the young man from the "American Pie" movies, Jason Biggs. Glad to hear that you are feeling better, too, Wendy! I'm sure that everything will go well with your appointment in March - we will be thinking of you and sending lots of PD your way, needless to say! And of course you are welcome to come along on our honeymoon - seriously! I'm hoping to be able to meet Angelina in person, while we're there, and it would be great to meet you and everyone else, too! LET'S ALL GO TO WDW DURING THE FIRST WEEK IN JUNE!!!! :) :) :)

In the mean time.......a chat would be a great idea, in honor of our anniversary, Elaine! :) I've tried to chat through the DIS chat room, and never quite "got the hang of it", but I could practice before then! Unless we all have AOL / AOL instant messenger, and then we could chat "outside of the DIS"! I really hope that we all get to chat face to face some day!

I'm with Elaine - your grandchildren are just adorable, Linda! Thanks so much for sending the wonderful photo!

I'm sorry that you lost your post, Angie - I hate when that happens! Hopefully you'll be able to recreate it and check in with us, when you have a chance!

Well, I'm sitting here getting nauseous over a presentation that I have to give in an hour. I think that worrying about public speaking is actually worse than DOING IT, for me. The anticipation kills me.....then I get up there, ramble on, and it's over in 2 seconds. I'm trying not to think about it.....I just want to get it over with!

By the way, has anyone out there been following the Olympics - particularly the figure skating controversy surrounding the Canadian pairs team? It is just awful - the Canadians skated so beautifully that I literally got choked up watching them, and I think it's a crime that one of the judges has now admitted that she "swung a deal" with another judge to help the Russian pair win, if he helped the French Ice Dancing pair, this weekend. What the heck is going on, with figure skating judges??? Mind you, I thought that the Russian pair skated beautifully, as well, but they weren't PERFECT, like the Canadians were, and therefore did not deserve to win the gold medal(s). I also felt badly that 2 of my favorite male figure skaters from the past 2 Olympics games, Todd Eldredge and Elvis Stoiko, did not make the top 3 in the men's short program last night. :( Oh well - time to "pass the mantle" to some up and coming young men, I guess!

Have a great day, Everyone! :)

IASW Rider don't even get me started with the skating. I cried and cried as the Canadian team skated and knew that they got the gold and I even said to myself that I would congratulate the Canadian Border Patrol the following day on their Countrys' Gold Medal. I'm getting choked up as I write this. We get the Canadian television channels here, so we are able to watch the Olympics 24/7 and its so hard to watch the controversy. But, I do feel badly for the Russian skaters, I think they knew they didn't get the Gold and when they did and this controversy, they must feel awful.....they weren't the ones that judged their performance.

Also, Elvis, DID NOT FALL and the Russian DID.....so whats up with that? Yes, he's older but what spins, etc......skating has always been a political thing. AAAArrgh.. Too bad for Todd--I feel awful for, but hey he gave it his best and through the years the tricks keep getting harder and harder.

Okay, it's settled.....I'm looking into tickets for The Graduate.......I knew I could count on you. You are a wealth of information when it comes to the Theatre.

Toodles again. Okay, I know you all don't partake, but who would like to come watch me ride Rockin' Rollercoaster tonight, then we can catch Fantasmic....

Hi there everyone! I hate to make this short but it will have to be...

I would love to get the anniversary chat together. If you all can PM me your instant messengers you use (any and all or none) and the time zone you live in. Also our thread here has been around since July 16th, but was it around on the other board before then? Let me know that.

I will apologize for not being around for the next few days. I will be a little busy and I just don't want all my buddies here to worry. I might peek in but I really can't take the time right now to post much. Never fear, I will return. I am going to check for PMs and e-mails so I will be reachable. And don't worry nothing is wrong, I just need about 5 more hours in the day ;) I will see you around :D

Jsmee - ya gotta love that Elvis Stoiko! He is my all-time favorite male solo skater - he has such charisma, energy, style, and personality! I made Frank stay up till after 11:00 PM to watch him, with me, last night! I was sorry that he didn't place higher. But he didn't look very disappointed - I think that he was happy to be there, in general! I'll never forget watching him perform his long program with an injured foot, 4 years ago, and him hobbling up to accept his silver medal. Anyway, they are all great sports. I felt badly for Todd Eldredge, too - he looked like he was going to cry, but he kept his chin up! I also think that the Russians felt weird about accepting their gold medals in pairs, though it wasn't their "fault", as you said. If it wasn't for the fact that they didn't deserve to win, I would have been happy for their win, especially since the female skater had been injured so badly and thought that she would never skate again, and her partner came to her bedside and told her that he wanted to skate with her and that she had to recover, etc. Who knows - before all is said and done, they might change the standings! So many of these sports are so corrupt.

Helenabear, my only instant messenger is AOL, if that helps. And I believe that we actually started corresponding in late May / early June, on the Theme Parks Board. It all started when SG innocently threw a question out on the Boards, pertaining to the EWP. Janet2K and I both responded to her......and it was all over, after that! From that simple conversation, the Suite was eventually born! And I remember that it was around that time of year because I remember corresponding about the EWP just before and just after (and maybe even during, as I was posting on the Boards from WDW, last year) our last trip. By the way, we are bringing the laptop again, this year, and I'll upload pictures from our trip every night, and give you all the link so that you can see them, if you'd like, and "virtually vacation" with us (except Angelina, who will be actually vacationing!)! Don't worry if you can't drop by for a bit - we'll make sure that the guys have all your favorite snacks and drinks and music waiting for you, when you get back!

Jstmee - OK - I'll come and WATCH you ride R-N-R (the operative word there being WATCH.....not join you - hee hee!), and I'm definitely up for Fantasmic, tonight! Speaking of Fantasmic, I have been corresponding with a lady on another thread, whose daughter has been playing Snow White in the MK and was recently trained to play Snow White in Fantasmic and SpectroMagic!

Made it through my little presentation all right - so glad that it's over - now I can relax!

Hope that you're all having a nice afternoon! :)

I am not getting notified when t here is a new posting on here. I am sorry. I am so far behind the times with all that is going on.

I cannot believe that it has been going on a year. I am pretty sure that the thread started about a month before we moved over here to the suite.

Elvis is my favorite skater (not singer unless it is religious music). I love older music also but then since I am older than you guys my music goes back a bit further. I love Aretha Franklin and the old Motown stuff. I now enjoy the Beatles even though I did not when they were new on the scene. If you ever feel tremors, don't worry, it is not an earthquake - just me dancing around the house with the music!!! Here is one for Jstmee, ROTFLMAO!!! That should occupy a few minutes of your time. Yeah, like you have a lot to spare. Is there anyway you could extend your getaway for at least another night? I am so glad to hear that you are getting a bit of time away together. Parents need some grownup time in order to keep the marriage going IMVHO. The best present parents can give their kids is parents who love, respect and enjoy each other.

I just might have to keep an eye out and see if there are any good rates the first week in June. Doubt it but worth a shot. It would be lovely to have a real get together at DW. In the meantime I have ICQ and just downloaded MSN Messenger (have not used it). I also have TA and CheetaChat. I play trivia on these and have never had a chat but think I could figure it out OR I am willing to download something else if you give me enough warning.

I guess the cookies came out well as I only returned with one. I did hide a platter in the back bottom shelf of the suite refrigerator. Did not think I would forget you all for Valentine's Day did you?

I just got invited to Europe by my niece. She is spending the summer and wants me to come over and visit her. Very tempting. Will have to look into that a bit.

Helenabear, I knew that Luis was not a bad guy. When you think about it , it is amazing that any marriages work out at all. Men and women are so very different and no one is going to be 'perfect' all the time (men or women). Frankly, I would be worried about a relationship that never had any arguments or disagreements. Would not be normal or natural. Bad spells can and do improve a relationship. You grow from them as long as you can disagree without being disagreeable. (grin)

Rider. yes, I do have beautiful grandkids. I am grateful to be able to share my life with 2 of them but I would be in Hog Heaven if I could see them all. I love my kids even though they are not perfect and wish they could feel the same about me.

Angelina, I am sorry that your post was lost. It is always so interesting to hear from you. I have been receiving videos of the New Orleans Mardi Gras and someone sent me some from the Mobile one also. Is that the one you go to? I read the post a couple of times on the off chance that it was you also. It was from one of my other groups DOLL's. Forget exactly what it stands for but part of it is Dirty Old Ladies. Ahhh, yes, my secret is out. I am ornery. Proud of it in fact.

Has anyone seen the movie "Moulin Rouge"? I loved it. It was nothing like what I thought it was going to be. It was a hoot. So much sly humor in it and the music was awesome.

Austin is due here in a few minutes for our study time so I had been get a drink (tea) and a few minutes rest (get brain in gear) before he gets here.

Hope the snow goes from those who have it and the sun comes to all.

Slightly Goofy

Happy Valentine's Day, Ladies!

Hope that you are all having a great day! My day started very nicely - Frank gave me a bottle of champagne (for later.....though it would have been nice to start the day with mimosas!) and a really neat honeymoon picture frame, with all of these little ceramic sculptures (of beach chairs, cameras, seagulls, etc.) on it. And I gave him........the Mickey Mouse head waffle maker! Well, he keeps saying that he wants to make waffles and is always too lazy to take out the waffle iron, so I figured that if we pretended that we were having breakfast at 'Ohana, maybe he would make his waffles - and have them Mickey-shaped, too!

I will also download whatever instant messenger the most people have, if you need me to, so that we can all chat!

It would be so great if you could come down to WDW in June, SG! But Europe......that sounds amazing! Which country(ies) will your niece be visiting? It would be great if you were able to pop out there for a visit! My friend, Gary, is going to Sweden next week. He's going to stay in the Ice Hotel - it's an actual hotel made entirely of ICE! It literally melts during the warmer months and is re-sculpted before the winter season every year! I can't wait to hear about this place, when he gets back. I'm just dying to ask things like - how do you check in - is there a lobby made of ice? Is your door key made of ice? Do you even have a door on your room? Where do you keep your clothes? Is all the furniture made of ice? (???!!)

I loved "Moulin Rouge", too - it was very different from what I expected when we rented it, but I thought that it was very interesting and entertaining. And who knew that Nicole Kidman and Ewan MacGregor were such great singers??!! I loved the cinematography and the creative use of music.

Anyway, I'll stop rambling on, now. Have a wonderful holiday and I'll talk to you all soon! :)

Hi there Rider!

I have seen shows about the Ice Hotel and my best guess would be that they keep their clothes ON!! It is very cold and many guests do not make it through the night from what I have seen. It would be an adventure though. They have a hotel here that has themed rooms that look interesting but since they cater to the "kinky' set it is not quite my cup of tea plus it looks dirty.

What neat Valentine's gifts you guys exchanged. Something to share with each other. We did not do any gift exchanges this year. A couple of years ago I got a new car though. I went and picked it out and did the bargaining (I am tougher than my DH). We left 2 days later for Disney World along with many other trips that year.

I am thinking of a weekend trip to our favorite place up in Indy. DH loves it cause it has a jacuzzi and it is across the road from the Comedy Club. I would like to go to the second run movie house and catch up on some of the Academy Award nominated movies I did not get to see and scope out things for the July 4th family reunion we have coming up. One sister is coming in from Florida for the event. Only 4 of the siblings will be there but we will have a blast.

I hope everyone is having a great Valenentine's Day and Cupid's arrow does not cause too much pain! (grin)

SG/Linda

Hi there everyone! I am unable to sleep right now for unknown reasons so I thought I'd come in and say hi. I am on a mission right now... to find THE first post to find out the actual anniversary date of this group. I will let you know what I find. I am about to start looking again and I am determined to find it (which is rather hard given the lack of the search function). I hope all is well and I have enjoyed listening to you all chat away :D

SG do you think I wouldn't know what ROTFLMAO???heee....But I didn't get the other one IMVHO. I am really disapointed that "The Graduate" ends on 3/10 and we don't go to Boston until 3/28, and it looks like most shows are on break or switching to another one during that time. Sigh!!! I agree I think my DH and I need more than one night along together. This has been a very difficult year for us.

I have to do a witness talk at my church this evening and I'm not nervous, I'm just not ready. I keep forgetting about it. Can you imagine if I forget at the last minute and don't show up? Okay, I'm nervous.......I don't feel "worthy" to give a witness talk.....Oh well....I will pray about it.

IASW Rider, thank you for watching me ride last night it was soooooo fun. Takes my breath away. There is an ICE HOTEL in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada and we went there last year. We would have spent the night just for the experience but it would have cost about $150.00, this price also includes an elegant meal (inside) in their restaurant, and the temperature was -20F below outside without the windchill, so the inside was about 10F. But the place was beautiful, carved ice everywhere. The rooms had animal skins/furs to keep you warm at night, sleep FULLY clothed, with insulated sleeping bag. rooms don't have a door but have a curtain. They even had a bar. We (just my children and I went cause DH was working) sat at an ice table and drank Hot Cocoa. People were have ice shots of vodka, the shot glass was made out of ice, then after you drank the shot you threw the glass(ice) at the wall and shattered it. We would like to visit again.

helenabear, I have MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger and I can reinstall ICQ if need be. I don't have AOL because of the fact I live in the boonies. Yes, it's still snowing, I cleared the driveway once again, then I had to go out and make a path for the oil man so he could fill out tank. The joys of snow....... I just think we got spoiled with the warm weather earlier.

But, it is warm today about 28F now. Yippee!!!! A warm front.

Angelina, I do miss the South soooo much, I would like to live in South Carolina again, however, I do like the fact that there are no ticks, snakes, blackwidows etc.!!!! Then again, we have bear, coyote, moose (which are plentiful and dangerous on the roads) and fox.

Bye for now................Wendy

Hey Everyone!

You know, Helenabear, I was also looking for the post that started it all, but to no avail. Believe it or not, I think I printed it out (because SG said such kind things, as she always does, and I wanted to remember them!), so I will have to look for the actual title of the thread - maybe that will help. It's so hard trying to find things without the search function!!!!

Your weekend trip plan sounds great, SG! I also want to catch up on some of the Academy Award nominated films that I didn't see (which is pretty much all of them, except "Moulin Rouge" and "Bridget Jones's Diary", for which Renee Zelwegger was nominated). I'm so glad that they made a separate category for animated films! If "Monster's Inc." was released any other year, I'm sure that it would have won.....but I have a feeling that "Shrek" is going to win it, this year.

I didn't realize that there was more than one Ice Hotel, Jstmee! That sounds so interesting! And it's exactly the way that my friend described the one that he will be visiting in Sweden. He said that it's 20 below there, now, and he doesn't know if he will survive the nights there (they are staying in the Ice Hotel for 2 nights and in a cabin for the rest of the time, I think). Very interesting concept......but it sounds way too cold for me! Speaking of "cold", I can't believe how much snow you've gotten, up there. We have had a relatively snow-free winter, so far.....I hope that it stays that way! I'm sorry that you will miss seeing "The Graduate" in Boston. :( Well, that just means that you will have to come down to NYC and see it when it's here, that's all! :) Please forgive my ignorance, but what is a Witness Talk? Will you be discussing a portion of scripture? Or prayers? I'm sure that you will do wonderfully!

Hope that you all have a wonderful weekend! I took today off to do my taxes (and for the first time in YEARS found that I do not owe federal taxes - yipee!!!!! So glad that I'm having more withheld from my paychecks "up front", now!), and to have some time to relax before the future in-laws arrive, tomorrow. Will check in again as soon as I can! :)
