Wow read all 18 pages of this thread and these vouchers sound too good to be true!
When did these come about? I've never heard of them before.:yo-yo:

I saw somewhere they were for conventioneers but a few places offer them to the general public...we had no problem using them

glbh: the only place I know you might be able to use the vkl for dinner would be AK RFC and some one posted they were not allowed to do so while others have. they have to be "OKed" by the manager( according to both waitresses we had there) so it may depend on who is on.

if you want to use them for dinner a safer option might be get the q/c and go to a food court like pepper market or pop and get a meal ( pepper market has a larger selection of non sandwich full dinner type meals , pop has only a few like the Mom's special ,fish and lo mein, did not have any kind of prime rib type meals when we were there. POR also offered ribs and things for dinner only but we didn't eat dinner there so I do not know how good a deal they would be there .)

Jann,

This really worries me!

I have made PS for the RainForest and we are planning on using a VLK. I made it for a 2 PM seating which the operator said was still considered lunch. I will be in so much trouble if they do not accept the voucher there. DD has her heart set on the Lobster!

The only problem using them at RFC is that they MIGHT not let you use them for dinner.

Mugglemom, you are fine with a 2 pm seating. You won't have any problem using the vouchers.

Oh thank you for telling me that! I think I am already salivating for that Lobster! SO many details to remember and get all in order that I get worried when I hear that I might have a problem.

This is my first big trip without DH and he normally handles all the meal/money stuff. It will be just DD and I and we want to have a wonderful stress free vacation. We laugh when we look at the park hours and all the things we simply "must" do! I suspect we will need a week of sleep when we get home!

Has anyone done this? If not what is the most expensive dinner you've gotten ar RFC?

I was telling my friend about this and she thinks it's too good to be true. Can anyone out there give me ammo to tell her different? She rained on the lobster parade...

And does anyone know what the RFC hours for lunch are?

I signed up for Hotwire and ordered Quick and Casual vouchers. I notice that they only allow 40 vouchers per household per year. Since we have multiple trips planned for this year and there are six of us, that probably isn't enough.

How do others get around that? Do you order 40 from Hotwire, cancel, then join Connections? Would that work?

Thanks,

Sheila

I'm wondering the same thing! does anyone have any insight into this? Or would cancelling you Hotwire account & then rejoining do it? Our trip isn't until December. Thanks! Sandy

Shoppie,

I have my doubts but too many on this board have successfully used the vouchers and I am going to trust their experiences!

Here are links to a few people who have done this exact thing first hand. In less than a month I will be able to tell you exactly how yummy that Lobster was!

So there is your ammo for your doubting friend!

Well I did it! I joined Hotwire ... applied for a $10 rebate on first order... and ordered 4 VKLs and 6 QC . Now can't wait to use them! Oh and got La Nouba tix in mail yesterday!

We've used Q&C and VKL vouchers on 2 different occasions. No one questioned anything, no problems, comments, ect. Was as tho we were using $$, except we got to eat ALOT more. We don't usually order an app. & dessert for each person. Sooooooo much food! That's why you see so many people on here suggesting splitting meals! ALSO remember NO TAX AND NO TIP NEEDED, as these are included on the voucher!
I was worried before we used them the first time too. WAY too good to be true. but it's TRUE, I promise:earseek:

!

sorry to give you a heart attack:o! , I was replying to what I *thought*was your question about them honoring it at *dinner* which is when somene had tried to use it and couldn't!( some have tried and have been able to) we used them at lunch fine also and for the lobster...giant meal..so sorry to upset you!

however one thing it seems with the vouchers is how much you get depends on who is there at the time...some have posted they were disappointed that they didn't get an extra side in addition to the plated side (or what ever) with the q/c and it seems to me a lot depends on who you get. we didn't ever have a problem with a listed rest. honoring them during the specified hrs. though.

I'm not sure whether you can cancel and then rejoin but I do remember having trial memberships in Connections123 and Galleria (both of which are run by Memberwork -AKA Membershipme). So, it is not impossible to have memberships in more than one of their programs. Very often, the benifits overlap.

They also run a program called Simple Escapes which is a Travel & Entertainment program. If I'm not mistaken, Simple Escapes also offers WDW tickets. They might also offer the vouchers. I've emailed the company and I will let you know when (if) I get an answer.

they technically do not have lunch hrs..they are open for breakfast and I think it changes to lunch/dinner at
11 or 11:30-closing which was 6:30 in Jan...the people who couldn't use the vkl for dinner were told by the manager they had to go before 4:30 to use it but I asked a CM when I made PS and they said there aren't any set "lunch" or "dinner" hrs.

They sell meal vouchers, too. The cost is the same as thru Connections or Hotwire.

You can join Simple Escapes thru DealPass.com, just like you would Connections. There is a $1 fee for the trial membership which lasts 30 days After that, it is a monthly charge of $14.95 to the credit card that you used to sign up with. It's run by the same parent company that does Connections, so the same caveats would apply.

For those of you who joined Connections, quit, and cannot rejoin, this might be another avenue to explore.

This has probably already been asked, but:

Do the childrens VKL vouchers also include a appetizer & dessert.

The price just seems a little high for just a regular kids meal.

Thanks for the help!
;) :D ,
Katie

there was a lot about that either on this thread or the other voucher one, maybe try a search...never used the kids myself but what I remember about the thread (take in to account I am:crazy: ) the problem was a number of places did not offer a kids appe so since some places would not let you sub. an adult appe they were not worth the cost for a lot of places.

...but I have been wading through pages and pages of this and cannot find the answer.

What are the prices for the vouchers? Are the prices different through Connections versus through Hotwire?

Thanks!!
