Everything you ever wanted to know about Be Our Guest

I have food allergies and the chef was great about talking me through the menu. he would have made adjustments if I had wanted a certain dinner too. The chef was great... very friendly and helpful. :)

BOG was our best meal of the trip!! we ordered 4 different dinners...all were great!! we want to go back in Dec. :)

Thank you! :thumbsup2 That makes me feel better. I figured with it being a new restaurant that they would accommodate at least as well as the other TS places but it is nice to hear from someone with first hand experience. I am glad you enjoyed it so much! :goodvibes

Early rumors (which, apparently, did not come to fruition) indicated that Lumiere, Cogsworth and/or Mrs. Potts would be brought around to the tables on carts to interact with guests (ala Remy at Chefs de France). Anyone else hope they might eventually add this to at least the dinner hours?

I never have heard that. They said from the beginning that it wouldn't be a character dinner. The beast is supposed to do a walk through occasionally, but no interactions with guests.

Does anyone know the price of the kids meal at dinner? I don't see this info on the all ears menu! Thanks!

We are travelling to WDW in 2 months time.

Thrilled that we managed to bag an ADR for dinner for the five of us.
This thread has really helped with our trip planning so thank you everyone.

Hoping to try lunch too, but will need to see how the rest of the party feel about queuing in the Florida sun :goodvibes

Just a quick question about making an ADR online vs. calling in. Has anyone ever tried to make one online only to find nothing available and then call in and get one?
I would love to do dinner there on our Anniversary but there is nothing available for any night the week we are there. Thought I'd call and see if they hold back ADRs for people who call in, but I forgot today was the day FD and August discounts opened up to the public so I know they are super busy.

Thank you for this thread! It answered a lot of questions I had. One thing I was wondering about is the Beast there during lunch or just at dinner time?

Only dinner :) He doesn't visit the tables, he does a walk through the dining room every half an hour and then you can meet him when you're leaving for a photo. :)

I don't mean to poke the bear, but I don't understand all of the drama over the kids menu. To me, they are offering what they think people are wanting, they are not trying to be a "nanny state". No one has to eat here. I would never complain that the local Italian restaurant in my town doesn't offer chicken nuggets, and I feel that Disney World is the same thing. There are multiple table service restaurants in the Magic Kingdom that offer "regular" kids choices. I just don't understand why some feel that every restaurant must offer everything. Kitchens in these places cannot be that huge, and the more dishes they offer, the more likely they are to get things wrong, or to have the quality of food suffer. Just my thoughts...:confused3

Wishing there was a LIKE button!:thumbsup2

I completely agree. I like that they just offer smaller portions of the adult meals. There are plenty of other places to get chicken nuggets or mac n cheese if the kids are that picky. I know plenty of kids that will be glad to have these options instead of the standard kids meal fare.

What a wonderful, informative thread! THANK YOU!

And I have to ditto the above about the kid's menu. There are plenty of restaurants we are skipping because the menu doesn't appeal to either us or DS. They give us choices for a reason, no big deal. We will probably never eat at California Grill because there is nothing we would eat there, no biggie.

Thank you for taking the time to put this guide together. I love the way they do the ordering for the lunch menu and can not wait to check out all the different dining rooms!

We did BOG for lunch one day, and got in line at 10:40, had a very short wait and really enjoyed it. I like the kids menu options, personally. Deep fried Chicken nuggets are so bad for you.. Seeing a carved turkey sandwich for the kids too made me so happy :)
