Everything Virtual Queue - Please Read Post 1

Im clearly missing something with the new process. say for GOTG, with the old system I tried for VQ and when I didnt get it I paid for the LL. Now VQ is day of visit so it seems backwards. I would only pay for LLSP if I dont get VQ. Can someone guide me? Clearly confused.
VQ is still day of. If you are not successful you can try for a LLSP if they are available. The challenge is, they may already be sold out.

Sadly, if you 100% want to ride an attraction you should purchase the LLSP in advance.

Thrill-Data tracks how fast Lightning Lanes sell out. It does appear most days there is a small window of availability after the 7AM VQ drop to purchase a LLSP but, it is not guaranteed.

Just want to make sure I'm understanding this as we're new APs for 1st time ever:

We still have to make park reservations except for post 2pm-visits and good to go days. Got that.
On reservation days, I can't make 7am VQs for a park other than the one I have reserved, correct?
If we're planning an MK morning and Epcot late evening, I can't at 7am have an MK reservation and snag a Guardians VQ correct?

We are desperately trying to do Tianas and Guardians on the same day, and don't plan to be in Epcot by the 1pm VQ time slot so am trying to come up with the best game plan and I feel like I'm missing something super obvious.
For an AP guest to be eligible for 7AM drop they must have a park reservation for the park the attraction is located in.

E.g. To try for a 7AM Tron or Tiana VQ, AP must have a park reservation for MK. After securing the VQ you may change your park reservation (if available) should you wish to visit a different park first.

thank you so much for that info, I didnt realize VQ was day of. Theres so much to sort out, I appreciate it.

Question re 1pm VQ: Could we enter EP at rope drop, ride Remy, leave EP and enter DHS (where our LLMP are preselected) and physically be in DHS for the 1pm GotG VQ drop? Will it allow us to get a BG?

If yes, same scenario except only one person of a group of four enters EP at rope drop. Could all four of group get 1pm VQ drop?

Yes

No. Any guest who wishes to be eligible for the 1PM must have tapped into Epcot prior to 1PM

Data Point: Here now. Had a one night reservation which I did online check-in. Also had a multi-night pkg that stated the following day. Called Disney and linked reservations as a continuing stay.

I forgot to do online check-in for second reservation which is the one that had the tickets linked to it.

At 7AM I was not able to try for a VQ as it did not recognize I had tickets. Did online check-in but no change. Called Disney IT and he could see tickets but could not figure out why I could not get a VQ. (Tron was still available.)

Anyways, all this to say, be sure to complete your online check-in if you’re trying for a VQ on arrival day.

How hard is it to get BG’s for 6 people? Just wondering because I’ve only gotten them with 2 before

Have been noticing this week that Tron is lasting much longer than Tiana or Guardians. Both of those are still gone in seconds.

For rides like guardians and Tron (and now Tiana) do we still get 2 VQ chances for everyone (7am and 1pm) and one for afternoon for deluxe resort guests? I remember never being able to get the 7Am VQ, but I always got the 1pm one while at the park. I also got the VQ for deluxe guests and the ILL , so one day we rode guardians 3 times

We will at WDW in Feb 2025.

Currently guests can get one VQ at 7AM. If they have used that VQ and tapped into the park where they wish to try for a 1 PM VQ, they can do that.

A guest can only get 1 VQ per attraction, per day except for deluxe guests going to an EMH event, Those guests may try to get a VQ at 6PM even if they have not tapped into the park or, have already held a VQ for that attraction from the 7AM or 1PM drops.

Ok, so nothing has changed basically since 2023.
One VQ either 7 or 1pm, and one VQ for EEV for deluxe resort guests. And that applies to Tron, guardians and Tiana, correct?

My last question. It seems that there is always a guarantee spot for one VQ if you do your homework. If you don't get at 7am, you should get at 1pm. I was never able to get the 7am one but never missed the 1pm VQ

Hello! Stress posting since we arrive tomorrow! 😅 I’ve just snagged a LL for Tiana’s tomorrow at 8:30pm. I am staying deluxe. Can I still join the VQ for TRON at 6pm if I have a LL for Tiana’s for 8:30pm? Can I hold a LL and a VQ at the same time? Thanks!

Yes. LL and VQ are separate.

The one thing that has changed is that a guest can only hold one VQ at a time. In the past I was able to hold two on occasion.

Tomorrow is our final day if 9 day park passes. I have been able to secure a VQ at 7AM each day. I use Time.is to countdown.

We had 2 other families who were here at the same time as us and they were also successful each day at 7AM.

Hope this is encouraging to others.

What do you mean? Like when I went to Epcot in Feb 2023, I was able to ride guardians 3 times in one day: VQ at 1pm, ILL I bought, and VQ 6pm for EEH for deluxe guests.

So you are saying I need to redeem the 1pm VQ before I am able to apply for the 6pm one?
