Everything Park Hopping - Please Read Post 1

I apologize, I'm sure this has been covered before but with the changes I'm still confused.
Long story short(er), we're AP holders, will be staying at BC and planning a 5:30pm Kona Cafe dinner on Sunday Dec 7th. We will be making a park reservation for Epcot and spend the morning there, but thought that it might be fun to go to the Magic Kingdom before dinner and stroll around for a while before their big party starts... but still unclear (especially since it's a weekend) if we can hop to Magic Kingdom without a Magic Kingdom park reservation, and if we can does it have to be after 2pm?..or can it be anytime after we check in to our first park reservation?
Thanks a lot! Sure hope my question makes sense, and any thoughts and opinions are truly appreciated! Hope you all are having a magical day! :goodvibes
As long as you have a reservation to another park AND TAP IN you will be able to enter magic kingdom

My husband and I will be in Florida for a few days in February, and are going to spend 1 day in the parks while we are in Orlando (my birthday!!!). I was going to get a hopper pass as I don't think just him and I need a whole day in MK. We are staying on Disney property, so we have early entry. My husband really enjoys the Avatar ride at AK. Is it silly to head over to AK at early entry and ride that and then go to MK. And if I decide to get LL for day, can I book LL for MK even though I go to AK first?

Not silly at all. Do just that--do DAK for early entry and then hop to MK. If you have the funds, you might want to consider getting LLSP for the Avatar ride. That way you wouldn't have to join the foot race to it at early entry.

And, yes, you can get your LLMP for MK and prebook 3 attractions (7 days in advance if you're staying on-site and 3 days in advance if off-site) even though you're not starting there. No problem at all.

Have fun! And happy birthday!

Looking for a gut check here. We are going for one day on Wednesday March 25th with a Park Hopper. I got a date specific ticket, I'm not sure if I can change the date or not, but this date worked for the rest of our plans and has MK with extra evening hours to 1:00am. Four of us including a 19 and 15 year old and we have been to WDW maybe a dozen times, plus recently went to Disney Paris. We have done just about every ride except Tiana's, and seen every show except the new nighttime parade at MK and the new Villians show at HWS; I think.

Can some of you give me guidance on my current plan as we have never park hopped, but we are using it as something different to see how much we can do in one long day. My only "request" from tWife was to go to Fantasmic since we have not seen that since I first visit many years ago. My current plan isn't ideal for easiest movement between parks. FYI - we are staying at OKW.

My plan thus is to :
Start at AK early hours (Avatar and Everest must dos) - move around 10am -
Go to Epcot (our unanimous fav - Guardians and World Showcase must dos) - move around 4:30pm -
Hollywood studios (Galaxy's Edge, Brown Derby dinner, Fantasmic must dos) - move right after Fantasmic 9:30ish) -
MK until close at 1:00am (Tron, Tiana's, Parade must dos)

It would be easier to go HWS - Epcot - MK for travel ease, but then we can't to Fantasmic (hopefully we still love it as it's been a while). Obviously we want to keep it as flexible as possible and depends on LL bookings, so this is just a rough guide.

What is your transportation plan? Regardless, your morning looks like what I normally do with a park hopper exactly; AK first, then EPCOT in plenty of time, then EPCOT to Studios looks ok, it will be getting everything done at Studios (esp. with a sit down at Brown Derby) then making it to MK will be the tougher part, IMO, because you'll be tired out. I think doable, but your evening is the tighter scheduling hurdle.

If you have been over a dozen times... then you should know that having a plan is one thing, being flexible with it is another... Crowd levels and weather are huge unknowns that can impact any well laid plans.

Think you'll be pushing it to get out of Fantasmic and wait on a buss to MK, and then get through security and ticket line in an hour. If a line forms for MK, or the MK buss is pulling out as you walk up... don't see it happening.

Rest is doable... but man you'll be beat.
