Everything Michigan....

mmmm slushie vernor's sounds heavenly right now even though my backyard and driveway have enough snow in them to make well over 50 snow cones.

Hello 3Leafs, I am also from Wyandotte!!!! Very, very rare to some one from Wyandotte on any boards, let alone downriver!

So cool.. My kids got to Jefferson and Wilson.. We will have to get together sometime..

Another downriver person! Brownstown for me. My sis teaches at Garfield in Wyandotte :)

I think we need to have a downrive meet after the first of the year..

We used to camp in Grass Lake when we were younger.. My uncle lives in Dexter and we go to Chelsea for hockey..

We are heading to Great Lakes crossing today.. Have a good day everyone

3Leafs - DH's grandma lives in Dexter. DH grew up between Chelsea and Dexter and was on the Dexter fire department for 15 years. DH and I lived in Dexter for a couple years after we were married. I grew up in Chelsea and both of us graduated from Chelsea High.

Wow, that's cool! Have I mentioned that we're in Manchester? I was just up in Chelsea this morning. That's where we go for everything.

Not much snow here... maybe an inch? I'm so jealous of you westerners with your lake-effect snow!

Ok as of right now (wed afternoon-dec 30) what kind of drive am I in for this weekend? I'm from MI grew up in Holland, going to vist dad and brothers in Benton Harbor.

 I went to tuliptime parades but didn't dance. We might know some of the same people though. There were quite a few girls from my class that danced.
So Holland and West Ottawa were always rivals I remember! I really didn't get into all the sports and extracurricular stuff. Had a boyfriend and my world revolved around him:rotfl:
Good to meet you...Im Jenny btw.

Just stopping by to wish my fellow Michiganians Happy New Year's tomorrow!!! party:

Yes Holland and WO were rivals but only on playing field. I'm Juli.

I see this thread has been brought back to life! I wanted to let you all know so you can be jealous that I actually got to meet 3leafs (in a parking lot in Taylor) during our whirlwind Thanksgiving trip to see DMIL and family in Bloomfield Hills. I am originally born in Dearborn, then Lincoln Park, then Trenton. My DH and I moved to the south in 1985 and now live in Savannah.

My DMIL had FOUR jars of Sander's hot fudge to bring home. What a lucky girl I am...my DH got a 6 pack of Vernor's from her, but since I don't like it...I made the better deal!

Hi 3leafs!:yay:

Wha? That's tomorrow?! Man, where has the time gone?? :upsidedow

Happy New Year, everyone! Here's hoping that 2010 is a much better year for Michigan than this past year.

At least we'll get to elect a new governor! :)

We live in Grass Lake, which is a small town near Jackson.

I'll be hunting near Grass lake Thurs. & friday (craft road), last 2 days of late doe season!!!........Grass Lake has changed.....I used to live 1/2 way between GL and Jackson, right off Mich. ave........from 1987-1995.

Subdivisions everywhere, new high school, stores etc.....wow...

I was just in Chelsea tonight, we met DH's dad and step mom for dinner at the Wolverine.

Wow, some of these places in my own state, I have never heard of. Good to meet everyone! HAPPY NEW YEAR too!:dance3:

Anymore West siders? Seems to only be a few.

I live just north of Dexter in Webster Township! Happy New Year everyone!

We are out that way every summer swimming at Half Moon ~ we've been going there since I was little and now I take my girls. There is nothing nicer than going on a weekday and having almost the whole beach to yourself! :goodvibes

My uncle lives on Half Moon! You can see the boat launch from the state park from his boat dock. We go all the time.. We swim from his dock or cut through the marsh to get to the beach..

Happy New Years!!
