Everything but Disney Day 8 Friday 21st October Seaworld+Texas de Brazil

We were tired so a lazy start waking at 8.30am.

We had breakfast at Friendly’s on International drive. Food was good but the server was slow. Most of the servers at friendlys are older bustling types she was the opposite. Used a coupon from Valpak.com for a free breakfast – so breakfast cost $16 plus tip.

We arrived at Seaworld at 11am and stayed until 4pm. Paid $14 parking.

Seaworld was quiet but the 12 noon shamu show did fill to capacity – so we stayed in happy harbour and DD did everything at least twice with no line.

They have a deal for $10 where you can feed the sealion, rays and sharks so DD did that. They give you a card and stamp it when you use it – saves you $5 with the deal.

Saw the penguins and the 2.15pm Clyde and Seamore show which DD especially enjoyed – Mime was good as usual before the show. We also saw the 3.15pm pets ahoy show which was the same as 2009 but DD liked it.

As we were back home early we decided to definitely go to Texas de Brasil on I drive. I’d been wanting to try it for sometime but had never made it. This was DH’s birthday celebration meal. We had an adr for 6pm (you make them online from 3 months out)

We had a lovely meal and server/manager were good – would recommend for a special meal. We dressed up slightly and did notice the later it got that people were dressier.

We had a coupon from their email club for a free meal for DH for his birthday. They only charged $5 for DD aged 5 (I’d taken her passport as ID as she is very tall but they didn’t ask for it – didn’t want them to think I was fibbing as 6 plus are half adult price I think)

Cost $65 plus tip for an excellent meal. Think it was $46.95 for an adult plus drinks and dessert extra(we were too full for dessert).

You chose your starters from a buffet , they also had lobster bisque soup which was excellent.

Then they bring meat over on skewers – if your disk is green they come, red they leave you alone. They brought mashed potatoes to the table and had lovely dauphinoise potatoes near the soup to help yourself to.

DD had selected two slices of bread from the buffet and i’d thought that would be it – she wont eat steak at home. Well of course she wanted to use her disk so she got a piece of medium rare filet mignon wrapped in bacon and loved it. She certainly got her $5 worth! So DD does like steak just the good stuff. They will cook meat more for you if you wish – nothing too much trouble. At the end I was wanting to try the lamb and they sent the man over with the lamb for me.

They also give cinnamon bananas between courses as a palate cleanser.

Worth mentioning soft drink are not free refills here.
