That CM was mad. He waited when he walked away to say "idiots" but I agree with him. There are just those people who like to go when you sat don't go just because... It also seems that other CM's ( I can see the blue directional wand?) maybe went over. Maybe he got a good talking to or expelled???

Great time. I love Oct in WDW and will have to check out the party some time.

I don't blame you for skipping Le Cellier and heading to a different park especially when it is an almost empty Animal Kingdom with no wait on Everest, and it was cool weather!

I have never seen the Harambe School going on -- what a cool CM interaction!

Great pic of the giraffe taking it easy on the safari -- I have never seen a giraffe sitting down ever!

Wonderful costumes for the Halloween party!!! Your whole experience at MNSSHP was so cool! Love the picture of you all with Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, and the one of you with Maleficent!

Hi! I know that others are appalled that you would cancel your Le Cellier reservation, but the fact that you did that makes me believe that one day I'll actually be able to eat there! My family doesn't make ADR's because we can't plan that far in advance so my hope is that one day I'll go to Epcot to ask and find out about a cancellation!

That video of the angry CM was crazy! I completely understand why he was so angry. The first thing it reminded me of was my students and me. I can say things a million times and they won't do it and I MUST reprimand them, especially when it's something regarding their safety! We don't say these things just to take away their fun!

Of course, I would NEVER call my students idiots so that's a whole different story ...

Love your TR! I'm all caught up. I remembered reading your older ones. Your kids have gotten so big! I love that you had matching costumes; that's the kind of family I want to have - one that can have fun together!

Hellooooooooo! We just got back and we are soooooo pooped! And I survived my flights with no emotional meltdowns. I DO NOT LIKE FLYING AT ALL, but it was nice to be there in 1 hr. & 20 min.

We had the most fabulous time ever!! So many wonderful memories! The weather was heavenly........ no humidity or rain for 10 days and temps were around 75 everyday except one! We did lots of new stuff and loved it all. I'm already having withdrawals!!

I have lots of catching up to do here. It's going to take me a while since I now have 5 loads of laundry waiting on me and NOTHING in the fridge at all (meaning a very long, expensive grocery store trip is looming)! But I will catch up soon on your TR.

I've read so many TRs already that now I can't remember if you guys have ever gone to Mickey's Backyard BBQ or not............... but if not, you should. It was the most wonderful experience. Granted, we went in Nov. and crowds were light. It may not be so magical with summer crowds and heat. But seeing my DD dance with those characters (and her Daddy......... he's a character in his own right though) was just precious. The Pirates and Pals fireworks cruise was also FANTASTIC! I just can't say enough about either of those events.

Anyway, can't wait to get back in the know on your TR!!! I'm off to read until my body and brain shut down on me!

Lesley, I've seen you post on the podcast board and I've read also your last trip report. I love your trip report! I'm glad Luke was able to do a Mission in Worldshowcase if I remember well last trip he loved those.
I agree with Tim, The great movie ride is also one of my favorites rides!
OHHHH and by the way I am Italian, I live in Italy......but I HATE the taste of BEVERLY. I think they don't sell it here with that name, because I've never seen the name "Beverly" on the soda section of the supermarket but I know what it is... and It's definetly NOT sweet

WHAT a great MNSSHP evening! Nice update and great fireworks photos! Wasn't that an awesome show??? I still was floored by the fireworks on the 4th of July as well, but Hallowishes was so much fun!

Sorry the updates have been slower than normal on this TR, I'm a little overwhelmed by work and University work in the evenings but I will get it done, PROMISE. I have to get mine done before Tim leaves in 25 DAYS!!! to Disapalooza so he can write his TR. So I'll get moving, stay tuned.
I am OVERWHELMED AS ALWAYS by all of the people reading along and posting, thanks so much to each and every one of you, Tim and I read EVERY single post. For the sake of time though (with my being so crazy busy and all) I will just respond to the ones with questions this go around, so please don't be offended, I read them all and appreciate each of you so very much. What a fabulous day!! Was this one of your best trips ever? You all looked wonderful in your costumes. It seemed as though you got to do everything you wanted to do, or, in Tim and Lesley style, you enjoyed everything you did and called it the best!

You know, it honestly was one of the best trips ever, I loved how laid back we could be because we had just seen everything this summer, the cooler temps, low crowds, new awesome resort, staying on the monorail, food and wine festival, MNSSHP, just fun fun fun!!!!

I so totally agree with you on this. The character breakfast is so much better than the lunch!!


Did you girls get a car to yourself? Or were you sharing with some strangers? I think this ride is so bizarre! The sensation of spinning while moving forward is just crazy!

No, we had to share our car on PrimEvil Whirl with a dad and his daughter, it was a weird ride but listening to Lauren giggling throughout was such fun! The shoes are just my regular black slip on shoes but I found these cool witch covers to put on them for only 9 bucks at Party City, they turned out GREAT!

Oh wow...Love all the updates and all the firsts you continue to enjoy! I continue to love how you don't worry about "plans" and go with the flow and even gave up LeCellier! How fun!

MNSSHP rocks! We also had such a great time and I'm so glad you guys could get your picture with Snow White and the 7! What an absolutely fantastic picture that is! You guys were adorable! My DS was Mario for Halloween this year!

Can't wait to hear more...so, do you think you'll head back next year during the fall? I know it's hard with your schedule but just curious!

I agree MNSSHP does rock! Yes, we have already talked to Diane and Bryan and we plan on returning in the fall for a long weekend, COUPLES only for Food and Wine Festival, CAN'T WAIT!

Hi Lesley! Your family looks like you have so much fun on your Disney vacations. We will be in Disney next year with my whole family (mom, brothers, etc). Are there tickets for MNSSHP available on the same day? I am not sure if everyone will be up to going so unsure of buying tickets ahead of time. Or should we just buy them ahead of time?

I'm all caught up! Great update. I know that CM seemed out of line but I have to say that I felt like yelling at a few people after being at WDW for only a few days. I can't imagine having to put up with idiots like that everyday. I don't have much patience for people like that. I don't think I could be a CM.

My DD was terrified by Dinosaur too. She loved Everest last year but wouldn't ride it this year after she got off Dinosaur. She was screaming and crying on that ride. It was awful!!!! I even thought it was VERY scary and WAY TOO jerky and I am 34! I will never ride it again and I am sure DD won't either. But the rest of your AK day looked great. Can't wait for more!!
