I have to make plans for a 10 day trip. I cannot decide between DP or DDP There are 4 adults and 2 possibly3 children between 3-7 My boys are foodies so that's great.Dilly is picky but they sell chicken everywhere looks like. Anywho-I need to make this the most wonderful time of these peoples lives so I can feed my Disney obsession in the future. As it stands they think I'm crazy for wanting to go all the time. It's all I have talked about since we went for the first time last year. I didn't even know I liked it. I need great food and experiences desperately. Please please please I need help. I stay up all night reading these boards and I just get more confused. You know I love ya!This trip has to be so good that they can't wait to get back.

There is no truly hot food served anywhere at WDW that I can come up with, except for the pho at Yak & Yeti with which they serve slices of fresh jalapenos, and all the Asian chile sauce you might want (more if you ask for it). There is no Korean cuisine served anywhere on WDW property. For Asian you'd be pretty much limited to the Chinese at Nine Dragons (Americanized), Japanese (Teppan Edo, Tokyo Dining, Kimonos at the Swan which isn't on the dining plan, and other spots that sell sushi if you like sushi) and the pan-Asian-type stuff at Yak & Yeti.

Which one is the best tasting IYO. You guys have been so much that I have been writing down all of your raves, but then I find post where ppl say the exact same places were mediocre at best. Thank you for replying :)

Opinions of restaurants are very subjective. I like that pho but I've seen some posters say it's the worst they've ever had. I don't care, I just fill it up with jalapenos.

I'm gonna go look for some pics. I'm so lucky to have the dis. TY :lovestruc

I'm kinda getting the feeling that there is part of the original post missing, or perhaps I'm just dense.

But, dear OP, if it's a struggle between the DP and the DDP - you certainly would have a wider exposure to all the varied foods at WDW with the DDP. It just depends on what your tummy and pocketbook can stand.

I called my brother about SIL I had asked for Korean food but shes down with steaks and burgers so I don't have to worry about that part now. Now I get to fret over my other choices.

Sci Fi , Chef Mickey's , CRT, Le Celleier, Crystal Palace , Kona Cafe , Whispering Canyon , Artist Point , Ohana , Biergarten , Beaches and Cream , and Yak and Yeti for pho. I can spring for DDP by staying Value or I can go mod and DP There is no way I can talk my DH into a Deluxe stay with DDP:sad2:. Not even if it were raining hundred dollar bills.

There's not a single spot on your list that I'd turn my nose up at. You've got a broad blend of options there. Kudos for your excellent taste! :rotfl:

If it were me ... I'd stay value and go with the DDP. It's a tough choice -what's more important? Where you stay or what you eat?

We've stayed in value, moderate, deluxe, and are now DVC members, which settles the lodging question for us. It's fun trying to eat a broad swath through the World.

When are you going? If it's during free dining, you can pay the difference and upgrade to DDP!

That would only work if I left the kiddos behind. Which is a very evil option. :)
My Dilly can't do heat for health reasons. I have to pick a time that is warm enough for pools but cool enough that he doesn't fall out. It would be wrong to leave the kids behind to take advantage of FDP ?

DD13 and I do Value resort and DxDP. We love it. The values, IMO, are great. When don't stay in the room a whole lot, so it serves our purposes well.

Our fave restaurants are Coral Reef and Teppan Edo. We liked the food and atmosphere. If you're going to go with the DxDP you could probably even book some of the Signature dining (we love Narcoosee's) and get them hooked just like you are.

I totally understand where you are coming from. I've been twice, but was hooked after my first trip in 2007, went back in May 2008 and plan to go back May 2010. My family and friends don't get it. They understood the first trip, were skeptical about the 2nd trip so close to the first one and now just shake their heads if I mention we're going again. :confused3 But that is only bc they have never been and just don't get it. If I could afford to take them all, I would, but I can't, so I won't. :rotfl:

Your choices all look good. Have fun, because planning is almost as much fun as going. I get that excited feeling anytime I look at my rough draft itinerary. I have until February before I can even make ADR's but still changing my mind about where we want to eat.

I understand where you're coming from! The heat in Florida can be pretty unbearable. Whatever you decide, I hope you and your little ones have an incredible time! :goodvibes
