Hey all!

If anyone is interested in following, we will be attempting to ride all 48 rides at the WDW resort this Saturday. You may have seen stories about 2 guys who rode 46 a week and a half ago and we disagree with their count - we will also be riding Sum of All Thrills and the Epcot Friendship Boats during our quest.

We've been planning this trip for over a year, including having at least a half dozen days planned only to be cancelled because of ride refurbishments/closures/openings. Through detailed planning and considerations of countless scenarios, using a custom computer program and app I developed and a spreadsheet I'm certain is about 2 cells away from crashing, we feel that our plan should be able to do all 48 rides along with a couple "skill shots" that we may attempt depending on how we feel the day is going.

We'll be live tweeting on Twitter (disneyinaday), posting pics, and uploading videos so we'd love for people to follow us along to our victory (or epic failure). If you happen to be in the parks on Saturday, look out for 3 crazy people in matching white WDW48 shirts and say hi as we run past.

I'm not sure if anyone is interested or cares, but I thought I'd let a great Disney community aware. Feel free to ask more questions if you're curious.

Have a magical day :wizard:

It can't be done. Because of FP+ you can only do 3-4 rides in a day.

Good luck trying though.

I wish you luck but I don't see it happening standby by waits will kill the idea by mid afternoon.

Two guys did it a couple weeks ago with enough time to repeat and hit 50. It was great fun following along all day! We sat up late until they were done, no way to go to sleep wondering.

Good luck to you!

Any idea how so I guess if you FP at MK and grab 4 and 5. And RD DHS but that still leaves Epcot with long waits at TT and Soarin and that's ignoring DAK completely. Hmm.

subscribed. sounds like a great challenge!

We're going to WDW Christmas week and we're going to try to ride 48 rides in a week!

are you serious........?! 1 park day including the 3 fast passes you can easily get at least 7 rides if not more.. don't know how you based your opinion on 3-4 unless you only ride fast pass + rides or your only at the park 3 hours..

there are multiple ways to get in several attractions the first don't park hop you waste a good hour at least traveling and then theres the occasional detour prolonging travel time

if your resort guest take up the extra magic hours that give you even more time in the parks

go on attractions during shows and parades (i personally love to see at least one parade)

right before park closes your allowed to stay in line most ppl tend to start leaving when the clock strikes park closed, but cast members will allow you one last ride

stay later the later you stay the more crowds and lines thin out i know one night on peak season it was 1 am and i got to get on peters pan flight MPM and splash mountain all within less than two hours no fast pass just very short line or walk on

now I'm not sure about doing every attraction in one day but you certainly get more than 3-4 rides if you make an effort

I guess I should have raised the sarcasm flag higher.

This is one of the refrains of some of the most ardent opponents of FP+, who have said that because of FP+ and the massive increases in standby lines that it has created, you can only do 3-4 rides in a day without long waits. Some have said that they just use their 3 FPs and leave the park in frustration because the lines are too long.

That has not been our experience.

Looks like EPCOT has EMH on Saturday, so that's probably the final park for the day.

MK and DAK both open at 8 AM, and it's a party day for MK, so it should be a little slower the usual form 8 AM to 4 PM.

jimmyml - Are you going to share your strategy, or at least the list of rides you'll be doing?

This sounds like SO MUCH FUN! We arrive on Saturday ourselves so we will look for you if we end up at any of the parks that day. Good luck!

We are doing our own first attempt at hitting all four parks in ONE day during our trip. Never tried it, but our goal is to do at least 4 rides per park, including headliners. I've determined we should be able to make that so about 16 rides in one day. 48 sounds like a blast!

yeah i can't really read sarcasm much and usually goes over my head, just lately so much hate for the fast pass+ system sorry for jumping the gun

I think that sounds like a blast, though I doubt anyone in my family would go with me.

Questions: How are you getting between parks? Are you driving yourself, or using Disney transportation? We have had it take a full hour between parks. Also, I assume no bags for bag check? You better pack light. And what is your predicted order? Which FP+ do you already have? Thanks.

Assuming they are staying Onsite, DHS has 8:00 AM EMH and MK has PM EMH until 2 a.m. So they have 18 hours (if they are staying onsite the original group didn't use EMH).

A quick top of my head rough in how I'd handle the major attractions.

Main Street Vehicles (need to get this in early)

I agree. I went in July when it was crowded and I was able to do 9-10 rides a day. Though they will likely have to do single rider lines and utilize FP wisely. And probably open at a park with EMH and close at MK which I believe closes the latest.
