Does Everest go upside down or spiral so that you go upside down??? I dont like loop-dee-loop rollercoasters and really want to ride everest...but I'll chicken out if they do go upside down...*scared*

Also, somone once posted a link to a web site that showed video of everest...can someone re post...thanks

It does not go upside down, or do any corkscrews (is that what you mean by spiral?)

It's one of my favorite rides!

ok well I found the video...it doenst look too bad but you cant see if it goes upside down...HELP!

OK NO CORK SCREWS NO LOOP-D-LOOPS

Ok I'll try it...but I dont know if I'll like it...but I'll give it a shot...or well maybe 2 just to make sure I really dont like it....

ok I'm a woose

It looks much worse than it is...some may be tempted to shy away because it looks very high and steep.

But don't let it scare you. It's actually very tame. I'd recommend it highly.

However, it may be disappointing for those who are loooking for the ultimate thrill ride. This is more in line with the Disney tradition of 'thrilling but not scary.'

ok so here is my list...

I'll do Sparce Mountain

I wont do RNRC

I will do BTRR (but its not one fo my favorites-I dont like feeling like I'm going to fall out of something and for some reason I did when we road it)

I will do TOT (do the drops feel like that on Everest?)

I will do splash mountain (is the last hill on Splash similiar to Everest?)

I know I'm a wimp...and I'll go on it b/c I dont want BF to think I'm a wimp...but I cant help it!!!

If you won't do RnRR or ToT, I'm not so sure you'll dig Everest. Think "BTMRR on steroids". And the backward movement is actually "intense" for Disney if you ask me. The first time we rode it, we weren't sure *how* we twisted....it did almost feel like we went upside down. But I think it's just sharp turns going backwards fast enough so you pull some Gs. We loved it...but we also love RnRR and ToT.

I have been on it a few times, and its nice and smooth and fast. :thumbsup2 Not as fast as RnRC but I cannot ride that one anymore anyway. :guilty: But, I can ride EE over and over and over again. :teeth:

This Oct. will be our first time to go on Everst! Thanks for the information :thumbsup2

Have a Disney Day! pixiedust:

Its just a GUESS by folks who DON'T KNOW what the cars are doing in the dark.

I DO, but I'm not going to spoil it.

Hi,
We rode EE twice during the AP preview period in Jan. It does not do loops or spirals. You do go backwards and there is a large drop. I ride R'n'RC, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Tower and Splash with no issues. The backwards part of EE made me feel a little off and then when I rode it again, within the hour, it made me feel worse. I will probaly take a Dramamine before riding EE from now on. I used to have to take one before riding R'n'RC when I first started riding that but I have not had to for awhile now. Anyway go and ride it at least once that is the only way you can really tell.

Everest is a really fun coaster without going upside down. It is like Big Thunder Mountain RR on steriods. I was surprised it was as tame as it was but it was very fun nonetheless.

I think the drop on Splash Mountain is worse than any drop on Expedition Everest. All in all, I thought it was a tame roller coaster (nowhere near RnR), but I did have some motion sickness from the backwards/dark part. I can see why some people believe there''s a loop; the sensation is somehow very similar.

If you can do TOT, you should be fine on EE.

It is not as fast as RnRC but it is a much smoother ride than BTM and SM.

I agree with the poster who said it looks worse than it really is. I also agree with the poster who said the drop on Splash was worse than EE.

The going backwards part is actually really cool. You'll be able to tell when it is coming (hint: you'll know when you can't go forward anymore) if you want to prepare yourself.

Have fun!

From the ads and stuff I've seen, it has looked really scary...but after reading what you guys have to say, it makes me almost want to go on it...almost..

well I guess it wont be too bad...I hope.
I take bonine the entire trip b/c if I dont I will get motion sick and I want to ride just about everything!!!
