Ever wonder what dogs dream about?

My dog "talks" in his sleep when he's having a dream. He gets very animated and lets out little barfs and howls.

Is he dreaming about chasing the squirrels in our yard? Or about the nice juicy prime rib bone his human-grandmother sent him Sunday night? Or about playing with my neighbor's 4 month-old lab puppy?

Do dogs run little movies in their heads when they dream like we do?

I know my puppy dreams about food.;) He's got a one track mind.:teeth: He lets out little woofs sometimes in his sleep, I think he's dreaming about chasing some birds when he does that.

Yes!!

We have two (almost) two year old labs, and one of them constantly runs, thrashes, and "talks" in his sleep. The other one just looks at him and rolls over like he is annoyed.

Funny! :teeth:

I assume he is dreaming about fighting with his brother! LOL!

Lady has little paw twitches as well as little barks and the like... I think she's dreaming about running in a wide open field chasing the rabbits, squirrels and buffalo :teeth:

Mine is always chasing squirrels and bunnies (Or long-eared tail-less squirrels to him) in his sleep. Problem is it's always at 3am and I'm the one who takes a shot to the groin... :scared:

We had a springer spaniel that we thought chased rabbits in her sleep. However, we had her since she was six weeks old and she had never been hunting:confused:

I know what hes dreaming about JJ, hes dreaming about his mommy who spoils him ROTTEN and what she is going to buy for him next :teeth:

men only dream about sex and food, does that help :teeth: , Im not sure if the dog is more intellectual then us.

It's fun to watch Sassy "dream". I always wonder what she is dreaming about :)

Our previous dog did dream and our 5 month old puppy does the same little wimper/bark and feet running. I think she's dreaming that she has successfully taken my dinner plate and is halling *@# to get away from me!:teeth:

My dog runs too sometimes. I know she's after them squirrels. lol

This dog is male, loves to eat, and very into lady dogs, if you know what I mean. So you're probably right about what his dreams are, Pop Daddy.

Beth, he is spoiled by me for sure, but everyone else we know is guilty of doing the same.

We saw Mama on Sunday, and she had a great big prime rib bone packaged for him at the steakhouse they had dinner at on Saturday night. I am not the only one!

LOL! So true, I just bought some catnip mice for my babies today and some rawhide for my doggies.

Jason did you forget about TV? I know my DH has to dream about whats on TV too.

I don't really know what Thomas is dreaming about but whatever it is he is doign it while running . Nothing like feeling the dog kicking you in the side with all 4 legs while you are trying to sleep at night::yes::

Don't forget the surround sound either M.J. They HAVE to have that surround sound!!!!

Has anyone seen the dog dreaming of being at Disneyland commercial? We love it and if someone sees it we all run to the t.v. to watch it!!!! The dog is running thru an empty park and he goes on rides at Disneyland and CA Adventure. Of course it makes us want to go......funniest part is when the dog is wearing mouse ears and has his picture taken with Pluto!
