Ever Take An Inexplicable Interest in a Celebrity?

I have a confession...despite being old enough to be his mother, I have a little crush on Sidney Crosby. Not in a weird way, mind you, but he seems to be such a nice, respectful young man that I have taken an interest in his career. (Plus, he is really cute!).

I tell myself it's because I am interested in seeing a hometown boy make good (I'm from NS originally and lived in Cole Harbour for a few years).

Anybody else got some confessing to do?

Sure, Johnny Depp is a cutie too (and much more age appropriate).

Hi Faye,

My daughter's teacher (last year) used to teach Sidney. He was playing tennis in our neighbourhood last year and she didn't have a clue who he was. She does now! I think she maybe close to his age though :happytv:

Hi Tammy, Nice to hear from you!

Since I am in a confessing mood, I think Ricky Ullman from "Phil of the Future" is a cutie, too. My daughter always says "Mom, your boy Phil is on".

I am afraid I don't know who "your Phil" is but I think he may be a cartoon?:rotfl: . Hey, if I see Sidney this summer I will tell him you said "hi" ...we're moving back. :cool1:

No, Phil is a real live boy. Your kids will know who he is! Congrats on the move back! We are moving, too, but only to a new house here in Orleans. We are having a new home built by Phoenix.

You would be suprised at how DIS respectfull he actually is I met him in London during the Memorial cup and he is more of a horses rear end than you would ever want to know. He spoke poorly about his team mates and about how he should have been used better in teh games etc he didn't have many nice things to say until the cameras were on him.

I had heard that when he was younger he was a bit of a jack ***. If you met him at the Memorial Cup, I am guessing that was a couple of years ago when he was still playing for Rimouski. Alot of 17 yr olds are jerks, so I won't hold that against him. He seems to have matured alot in his comments even from his rookie NHL season. His coach and teammates say that he is the hardest working, most dedicated player on the team so I hope that his behaviour justifies their support.

I like Viggo and George

Viggo rocks my socks! I've got a serious thing for older celebrities. Viggo, Johnny Depp, Dominic Purcell, Harrison Ford, Robert Knepper...and they are old enough to be my dad! I'm only 20! The only celebrity I adore that is close to my age is Wentworth Miller.

I never said OLD celebrities! I said OLDER. Johnny Depp is over 40, which makes him OLDER *lol* If they are older than my dad, that makes them OLDER! *lol*

but she is only 20....so to her he is old

I know, that's what I meant.

I first fell in love with Johnny Depp when he appeared on 21 Jump Street (I was 12) Back then I would of thought someone who was 44 as 'old' too.

OOOOHHHH YES! Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street...that"s when i feel in love too

But going to the younger guy theme... Orlando Bloom (blonde or brunette, i'll take him either way)
And Tom Welling (Smallville Superman) ***sigh***, And Demi's boy toy - Ashton Kutcher ---you go girl!

Some friends of mine that play against him all say he is a very hard worker but he is a bit of a hothead and a mouthpiece. He likes to shoot his mouth off then if anyone touches him he makes it look like he was hacked down with an axe and he cries to the refs about it. They all respect his skill just not his attitude and mouth he seems to run it way to much I am told. This came from a couple friends of mine that play in Detroit and one was with the rangers and was recently traded away.

Know who else is old and hot? Harrison Ford. Han Solo Rocks my Socks...oh wait...I'm too young to remember Star Wars! *lol* Just teasin'!
