Ever get stuck in a ride?

In 1983 I got stuck on IASW for 45 minutes. The music and puppets never SHUT UP! It was quite traumatic...seriously. I refused to ride ever again until 2 years ago with my wife. I went 28 years without having to hear that awful song.

Guess what? First ride in 2011....we get STUCK for 15 minutes. I thought I was going to die!!! Never ever again....EVER!

Yes. Haunted Mansion at the ballroom scene for about 20 minutes. It was actually pretty interesting as I noticed LOTS of details that I normally wouldn't have.

This last trip in May we got stuck in two rides.
1) on Haunted Mansion backward look up (when you come out of the attic) for 15 minutes.
2) on Pirates, right when you enter the room where the town is on fire, there is a howling dog. Yup were stuck right next to that dog for 40 minutes. :sad2:

O well, over all it was a great great trip! Cant wait from May 2014!

In February we were stuck on Buzz light year , Spaceship Earth, Haunted Mansion, and my son and hubby had to be walked off of BTMR.( At least they were given 2 fast passes to any ride in MK.)

Carousel of Progress... I will not ride this attraction ever again. lol. We were stuck for about 45 minutes while listening to the CM's say "Please stay seated and a CM will be with you momentarily" while also listening to "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow" on repeat. We were eventually escorted off the ride and given a "golden FP" (the one that gets you on any ride in any park) but I still hear that wretched "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow" song in my nightmares.

The funny thing is after we got back there were a bunch of videos of the same thing happening on CoP in the exact same spot we were stuck.

One time Haunted Mansion stopped (I assume to load someone in need of assistance) for about 10 minutes. I was in the grave yard. After a couple of minutes of that ghost popping out at me, I was getting a little nervous.

I've had minor stops on different rides over the years. I've only ever been evacuated off two rides and ironically, they both happened this year. In February, I was evacuated off of TTA (sadly right before you go into Space Mountain) and then last month, got evacuated off of Little Mermaid. It was quite cool to walk alongside the sets.

Expedition Everest stopped right inside the Yeti Room.

The strobes kept flashing and flashing and flashing and flashing and flashing. Eventually we began moving and coasted to the end of the ride. But that flashing light...

It was pure torture!

Not at Disney, but we were at US the opening weekend of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. After waiting in line for over two hours for the Forbidden Journey, we were next to load. At this point, my seven year old nephew announces that he has to pee. My sister tells him that he either needs to hold it or get out of line but that she is not waiting in line again. He decided to hold it. And then we broke down. We were stopped for quite a while; they turned the lights on, but we didn't have to evacuate. My sister and nephew were in a car ahead of me and DH. My nephew started to cry because he had to pee so bad. My sister told him, "Buddy, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do."

Fortunately, he was wearing swim trunks. My sister also obviously informed the attendant of what happened when she got off the ride. The poor kid is twelve now and this story comes up every time we go to an amusement park!

Allll the time!!!! Haha, it's almost tradition now. If I don't get stuck on Haunted Mansion or Spaceship Earth, I almost feel cheated! rotfl

We were stuck on Spaceship Earth for 45 minutes <shiver> That ride isn't worth it's regular ride time as it is (IMO)I sure didn't wanna do it for an hour.

We got stuck on EE, on the way up the mountain. Sat for about 20 minutes and they came and got us; walked everyone down through the mountain. It was cool being inside (not allowed to take pictures) and my structual engineer husband was really nerding out the whole time.

The Winnie the Pooh ride last year. We were almost all the way through it, right before you make the last turn and dead stop, lights on, and CMs had to come unlock/walk us out.

After that, my DD would yell, "We made it through that time without being stuck!" and if she watches the ride on YouTube, "they did not get stuck Mommy."

Well just a little prelude to my story. I'm 24 years old now, and the last trip I took to Disney was when I was 12. 12 long years :(. Thankfully, I am planning for my 1st return trip for late spring of 2014. Cannot wait! Now onto my experience.

It was the year 1996, and I was 7 years old. My VERY first trip to Disney World. We ended up at the Magic Kingdom for our first day, and the VERY first ride I ever went on at Disney was Mr. Toads Wild Ride (no longer in operation). So of course the very first ride we ever got on, it indeed broke down, scared the jeepers out of mine. I thought we would be stuck in there forever and nobody would come help us. I cried I was so scared. My first Disney experience wasn't off to a good start lol. I got over it eventually though, and enjoyed the rest of my Disney experience as well as the next 5 years in a row that we went :)

Stuck on rock roll roller coaster CM had to release us from the car and we had to walk down a series of steps. As he evacuated us he explained how the ride worked and showed us the magnets. We got a back lot tour it was interesting.

Let me preface this with saying that Figment scares me. I'm not sure why, it's a totally irrational fear, but he creeps me out. So I went on Jounrney into Imagination kind of against my will, it was for the benefit of someone else, and of course we got stuck. Right at the part where the million Figments are singing "Imaaaaaaginaaaaaation" over and over again. That's the stuff of nightmares. :rotfl:

Not at WDW, but I was stuck at on Screamin' at California Adventure at Disneyland resort. It was on the first hill after the acceleration. I remember thinking it didn't feel like we took off as fast, then, most of the way up the hill the brakes came on and we were stopped.

They had to get some engineers to put a special platform between the cars and the accessway since we were tilted back. They released our restraints one row at a time and helped us out.

They gave us an anytime fastpass for the attraction for a later time. Funny thing was, we had just gone on Grizzly River Rapids and rode screamin' to help us dry off. That didn't work out so good!

I had just convinced my somewhat scared daughter to try Pirates in MK......I told her there was only one scary part--the storm at the beginning. Needless to say, we got stuck in this exact part and she was terrified! Don't think she will ride it again....

Great Movie Ride for 45 minutes in the Casablanca scene. Haven't been on since and I don't intend to

We were stuck on Pirates of the Caribbean. Aye, Aye Matie and the canons went off--and of course we were near where the canons "landed" splash. It seemed like forever but prob only 20 min

POTC a few times. Once, we had to walk out of the ride and that was really interesting.

Figment once for a good twenty minutes, also had to walk out.

Spaceship Earth and Haunted Mansion, too, but for those we just waited it out.
