Just curious what people do during the evenings - do you go to the parks, bars e.g. Jellyrolls.

Am staying at the BWI so thought about spending time around the boardwalk, watching the entertainers, having a cocktail or 2 :cloud9:

Okay, my first question is WHEN exactly are you going to be there. . .What time in May. . .

After that my second question is "if you are staying when the May group stays" there is really no need to plan unless you don't want to hang with the May crowd.

If you are missing the May meet and just need suggestions. . .if its pub atmosphere you are looking for, go to the tune inn lounge at DHS fairly early. . .meet up with the locals,. . .have a spin at the dance hall known as Atlantic Dance Hall and do late night at JR's. . .sounds fun but there are mor things to do. . .need your "tentative schedule".

Unfortunately I'm going to miss you guys - I arrive on the 7th May (evening) and then fly back home late afternoon on the 14th :(

I've never been to the Tune Inn Lounge, that sounds like fun!

Checking into ASMu on the 7th for the weekend, then off to BWV until Wednesday. Bringing my friend who lived in FL many years ago, but this will be her 1st time staying on property. Plan to do at least a few nights at JRs - maybe we'll see you there!

You may well do :)

Last time I stayed at BWV, I used to walk over to BC to watch the movie on the beach, or go into the IG entrance to watch Illuminations. Then, I was always back in my room by 10:00 in my jammies reading so I'd be up and at 'em early the next morning.

That sounds great :) I hadn't though about the movies.

I recommend the movies on the beach and the Tune In Lounge. Both were very enjoyable!

My dh and I will do the parks, go to a nice signature dinner, walk around resorts, swim or relax in hot tub, or just rest in the room. I always get us ready for the next day and pic up the room so we can get a faster start the next morning. :)

We stay @ BWV and spend majority of our time in EPCOT WS. Many afternoons and evenings spent listening to British Invasion, Mo'Rockin, and Off Kilter(favorite). Also, 5/07 - 5/09: Davy Jones is doing Flower Power Concerts @ America Gardens Theatre.

If you like margaritas, check out "La Cava del Tequila" inside the Mexico pavilion. Hope the temps are much cooler in May this year.(we will be there last week of April) Have fun!!

It depends on the day. Sometimes we'll be at the park at night but usually we go for a nice dinner and then watch the fireworks from MK at GF (since we're staying there again). We get up early for the parks.
In the fall we're probably staying at BC or BWI so we'll watch the Epcot fireworks (hopefully) & maybe go to Jellyrolls one night but mostly the same go for a nice dinner and just relax.

What's the movies on the beach? BC= beach club? Open to all WDW residents?

Yes, movies on the beach are at the beach Club, on the beach out front (or back, depending on your view). Yes, they're open to everyone, at least I think they are since I've never seen anyone ask for a resort key. If it's raining, at least last year, they're shown in the Solarium and if there's a private party on the beach there, the movies are shown over in front of the Yacht Club.

Downtown Disney is great!
Last time they had a DJ :rockband:over near the Margarita Bar, and had different contests.
It was the first time I saw my untra conservative sister do the Chicken Dance.:dancer:
(OK, maybe Margaritas were involved):drinking1:drinking1:drinking1
