We are heading to WDW in Feb, which will be our first trip in about 2 years. I know how the early entry operated, but have no experience with the late hours. I just saw that the February hours have been released, including the extra magic hours. On February 19, Magic Kingdom hours are listed as 9 -12am, and it is an extra magic hour day. Does this mean the park closes to non-resort people at 9:00, leaving it open from 9-12 to resort guests? Or does it mean it is open from 9-12 to all guests, and open until 3 am to resort guests? I find the latter very hard to believe!

Having a traveling party that consists of 2 teenage boys who like to sleep in, the evening magic hours seem like they would work well for us. Is it worth it, or is it way too crowded to enjoy?

Any suggestions on the best way to work with the extra magic hours? Thank you very much!

Are the EMH for the month of November have been posted? I can't seem to find it (I must be blind or something.)

Thanks for the info.

I'm surprised how little the number of EMH being offered during that period and how early the parks scheduled to be closed on each night. I assume this is considered "low season" (going from November 6th through November 19th)? That's not what Birmbaum suggested in the book.

Bumping up to see if anyone knows the answer to the question regarding the hours? :earsboy:

are the times on this site accurate or just a guess I checked the disney site and jan hours are not posted thanks Daveb

As far as I understand, if the posted hours are 9-12am, the EMH will be 12am-3am.

Daveb - the times on the site are those released by disney to travel agents on the agent site. They should be on the disney public site soon. As with any hours, they are subject to change but I doubt there will be major changes, just some tweaking. Also it looks like the EMH days for 2006 have been set and I wouldn't expect to see those change.

Certainly from the way the web site reads, the park is open to midnight and extra hours are on top of that. It is the day before President's Day so it is conceivable the park is open that late. I'd wait until I saw it on the Disney web site until you knew for sure.

We are just back and thought the evening extra magic hours at MK were great, especially for those who want to sleep in. While it may be more crowded due to President's weekend, certainly you will lose a lot of people after midnight. For us the park closed at nine and extra magic was until midnight and it was not very busy.

The park will be open till 3 in the morning. We did this for Easter but MK was still very busy at 2:30 in the morning.

Would you happen to know how MGK was the day after a 3AM late closing? We are going Easter Week and I planned on going to MK the day after a 3am closing but the day I have planned is also an early morning EMH .... Does this tend to thin out the crowds??? ( wishful thinking!!)

Thanks!

The whole entire week of Easter was busy. I didn't go back to MK the next morning so I don't know. I went to MGM, very busy.
