Evening EMH

How do evening EMH work? We've only ever done morning EMH. Now that my kids are a little older we are thinking about trying out an evening one. It will be the week before Easter, so a very busy time. It would be at Epcot 9-11. So would most people just leave after Illuminations? Do you think it will be really busy or worth it?

Epcot has so few "rides" and the PM EMH starts so (relatively) early that the park will
most often see large crowds at least until 10:30, or so.

The general rule for PM EMH says that the LATER the hour, the fewer the guests.
Starting EMH at 9pm is just not "late enough" to thin the crowd.

We stayed for EMH at Epcot last June. After Illuminations, we walked over to the Boardwalk area and watched a juggler and sword swallower then wandered around for a bit.

We went back in to the park about 10 and waited 20 minutes for Frozen. Then we went over to Soarin where the wait was 10. We could have made it to Test Track but no one was interested.

We used Epcot evening EMH for WS on our last trip and absolutely had an amazing time. We plan to repeat it this year. I'm pretty sure everyone else was using it for rides, so we found WS to be far less crowded than it is during the day. We just strolled around and had a great time. It did take some time after Illuminations for WS to clear out, though. We also liked it because we go during the summer, so it's basically our only chance to experience the park for very long in the dark since the sun sets later. WS is beautiful in the dark, all lit up! I got some great pictures.

Granted, we are two adults. I'm not sure how into strolling around WS your kids would be.

Yes, WS is open.
Exactly WHAT is open in WS can vary at least by the season, if not by the week.

Some shops and restaurants will be open throughout EMH.
Some will close at an hour, or so, into the EMH.
Some will close at the regular Epcot closing time.

We love Epcot evening EMH. We used them during our trip last christmas-new years week (crazy busy) and it does stay packed for the first hour, but we just rode the high-capacity ones (Nemo, SE) until the crowds thinned and then in the last hour we hit Soarin twice and Test Track once. If you can tough it toward the end (that last hour especially), it really pays back in the amount of rides you can get on!
