Finally taking time to myself and catching up!! The pictures of Evan are too stinking cute!! I want to just reach through the screen and grab him up!! You have to let us know how Evan reacted to the tooth fairy coming!! I am sure he was so so excited!!

hey gang-

just stopping in to say hi! i think we are pretty well on our way to being ready this weekend we got our haircuts and i started laying out outfits and packing toiletries that were not needed this week. i bought blister stuff, moleskin, and body glide. i have plenty of sunscreen and a mini first aid kit. i started paking evan's backpack (thanks again lynn) for the plane.

i know that i still need to get things like ev's birth certificate, handicapped placard, and our proof of insurance for the rental car. i got a folder with plastic page protectors for our touring plans and paperwork. took ev to the doctor today for a follow up from when he was sick and got some zyrtec for the plane...my question is...

WHAT AM I FORGETTING??????

to make packing easier with Ev's things....
get gallon ziploc bag - put in socks/underwear/shorts/shirt for each day, that way it is a lot quicker each morning to pull out a bag and your not searching through the suitcase.

also pack some extra ziplocs for left overs from meals, snacks, etc and if you plan on going on any water rides, you can put anything in it you don't want to get wet.

some other items:

extra duffle bag to bring souveniors home in
I also wrote down each day's initiary, ADR's, park hours, etc on an index card and put it in my bag for the day
extra batteries and memory card for your camera
chargers for cell phone and camera
notebook to jote down your day's activities at the end of the day so you don't forget little things

if I think of anything else, i'll let you know...

Great suggestions. I especially like the index card itineraries. Then, you aren't stuck carrying around a bunch of extra ressie and confirmation papers or what not. I'm going to write a few of these suggestions down in my notebook....

Looks like you've got everything covered!! Hmmm...What about sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, umbrella, bug spray, towels (although I imagine the Snow White cottage comes equipped), snacks for the plane, bedtime snugglies for Evan, maps, camcorder, outfit or props for the pro photos, Sharpies for autograph books, FairyGodmailer addresses if you are taking part, luggage/wheelchair tags....hmmmm....can't think of anything else!

This isn't a packing thing--but I read it somewhere and thought it was great advice, regardless:

At the start of each day, be sure to take a photo of your Parking Lot # (so you'll be able to scroll through the pics later and find it), as well as a photo of any Photopass cards you receive (so you'll have the codes should you lose any of the cards), and a photo of everyone in the party (just in case--God forbid!--someone gets lost and you can't remember what he or she was wearing). Also, if you are comfortable enough with it--a photo of a card with your name, the address of the Sunshine cottage you are staying at and the dates of your trip. That way, should you ever lose the camera--someone can bring it to Lost and Found and get it returned to your resort.

I've spent WAYYYYYY too much time on the dis boards so in case you haven't seen this yet I thought I would share...

I read you're interested in doing 4x6 cards. Someone pre-made these and I think it's what I'm going to use too.... also someone was saying they put there's in a 4x6 cheap photo holder so it wouldn't get wet. Why can't I be that smart? ha!

ugh.

so this morning, my mom calls and says that ralph didn't show up for work. no call, no nothing, and no one has seen him. ralph is the only other person who works for grump, and the one who is "holding down the fort" so grump can go on the trip with us. grump is beyond mad (and i don't blame him) and i am so stressed i am about to scream...

if he doesn't show up, i don't know who i am going to get to go with us on such short notice, and my mom can't help with all of the lifting of evan. so now, although i am still REALLY, REALLY hoping grump can go, i am trying to figure if we can buy another plane ticket for someone else to go with us, and trying to figure out WHO that could be... this is just not a good thing...

anyone wanna go to disney world?

hey guys!

just wanted to post a quick update and let you know that i actually put some things into suitcases this weekend! it is amazing how much stuff you need to pack when you travel with a kiddo for that long! looks like we are going to end up with either 2 or 3 checked bags (one large and 2 small carry on size) and a backpack each! the good news is that one of the small ones has all the things that will be used up, and should be empty for the retuen trip (but i am still throwing in a duffle bag in case! (i realized ev's ridmakerz car will take some space!

i just have two days of work this week because i took wednesday off to do last minute things. as it stands right now, i can't think of anything i HAVE to do though, except find crocs. i have a feeling i will end up buying them at PIT
