Evan is going to see "Bickey Bouse" on a wish trip!

Thank you Sue for that post.
We will have 2 chairs this time around will they let me bring that extra bag on board with the seats in stuff in it?
That is not a problem at all.
I have been carrying half a wheelchair (in pieces) on board airplanes for over 20 years on 2 round trips a year. Since it is mobility/medical equipment, it does not count as part of your carry on allowance.
Be aware though, that you have to pre-board to make sure it gets in the storage space. If you don’t preboard and all the storage area is full already, you are out of luck and will need to fit it under your seat or check it.
thanks so much dorine...yep. feeling cruddy. promised myself if it is no better in the morning, i will stop at the quickcare on the way home from work!

on the bright side, i did get some new maps of the parks from a dis friend. (thanks lynn!!) that ought to help me as i work on some plans this weekend.:banana::banana:

i can't believe our trip is less than a month away.:cool1: i think i am going to start gathering stuff this weekend. i usually stock up on things like sunscreen and stuff, it is just a matter of putting it all together...;)

on another positive note, i was really worried this week that we may have to talk about some feeding options for evan. he has not been gaining weight for the last year or so. the dietician said because of his spasticity, he needs to consume about 2500 calories a day! daunting for a 6 year old! he eats non-stop, and he eats a very well balanced diet. the doctor was concerned, so we have been adding more high cal foods and 2 extra snacks a day. i was scared to death she was going to want to talk about a feeding tube or something, but ev gained almost 4 lbs in 2 months!!!!!:yay: so, we were told to just keep it up and we would do another weight check in 3 months! i was so relieved! 4 pounds is a bunch when you only weigh 35! although i must say, it does make carrying him tougher! oh well, you win some, you lose some!

have a great night friends!!
:grouphug:
My youngest DD has CP, mixed type with predominantly spastic tone. She is a young adult and it is tough keeping weight on her. She picked up a stomach virus last week and being sick for a few days is so much harder when you don’t have any extra weight to work with.
Good to hear your son is gaining weight.

Hi, I just realized you had started a PTR!

how exciting for Ev to have two loose teeth....my DD lost one at CRT when she was 8, fell right out onto her plate! she got a really cute certificate from the princesses and instead of the tooth fairy, Tinkerbell visited that night for her tooth, she left a cute pin and some pixie dust!

that is fantastic! i don't know if ev would get so lucky...one of them, i think will be gone before we go...the other may make it till then. that would be so neat! and how awesome if tinketbell showed up!

yeah, our PTR has kind of stalled. i did come up with really loose touring plans this weekend, and i learned that it is star wars wekkened. i don't know a thing about that, but grump likes it a little. i just hope people doing star wars stuff aren't especially interested in toy story stuff =) LOL!
as we get closer, i am sure i willhave more updates. i actually need to call sunshine foundation dream village and find out if i need to pack his potty seta, and also if they provide beach towels. i think someone said GKTW has them, but i don't know about sunshine. talk to you soon!!

it wasn't the real tinkerbell.....ssh, it was me, she just thought it was me....thanks to a CM who told Megan Tinkerbell visited kids who lost their teeth in WDW....so I had to scramble to get it to look like she came...thankfully another CM gave me the little bag of pixie dust when I bought the pin!

I can't help with an Star Wars stuff, but I know that it will be very busy from other posters who are going....
hope you can get all your answers to your questions!

Hope you and Evan had a great holiday weekend! And, that the Bunny brought him lots of goodies! :)

hey guys!

it's been a long couple days (and nights) here. ev has some virus or something and has a horrendous cough. last night he got a fever and threw up a few times. went to the doctor (again) today. and he has some bad ears and throat, and his asthma is flared up, and his O2 sats were a little low. got some meds to hopefully perk him up.

wanted to share that a friend from wv treated a sick mr. evan to a little buzz surprise. january, katelyn, and their mommy and daddy sent evan a buzz fleece throw and some super cute toy story mouse ears! he really likes them, and has been wearing them around :)

april, thanks for thinking of evan...cannot wait to hear about your trip! i am going to try to post 2 pics of ev with his gifts, but we will see what photobucket lets me do!

Mine are Penny and Sunny. Technically -- Penny Lane and Here Comes the Sun as their mother is Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds! Breeder let us pick the Beatle names for their papers but said we could call them whatever we wanted. I was going to do Zen and TaiChi chut Penny and Sunny stuck.

Mine are really smart -- it only took about two years to potty train them and once in a blue moon they will sit if you tell them to. Once in a blue moon they come and stay as well. The boy is smarter but he's a bit pesty -- demanding for attention. My girl is a sweetheart -- her smarts ended up in her heart and not her brain. They are very good dogs with kids though. I imagine Milo and Evan are best friends.

hey guys,

looking for some advice on footwear. should i get some crocs for the trip? i really dislike the way they look, but everyone says they are really comfy. does anyone have an opinion? i am only thinking for the adults, since ev doesn't walk it shouldn't matter?

thanks in advance:)
