Mom and I were talking about our Walt Disney World trip from 1997 and I ate at a restaurant named Spoodles that was located in Disney's Boardwalk and I would like to know if anyone had heard of Spoodles or ate there? I did hear that Spoodles closed and opened up as a restaurant owned by celebrity chef Cat Cora that was named Kozzina's. What was your favorite food to eat from Spoodles?

Yes I do!! The letters were brightly colored and I believe the "O"s were olives,, but I am not quite sure of the location on the Boardwalk.....its fun waking down memory lane!! Sorry we never did eat there. Our boys were young then and we were still into the buffets and character dining. Marla

I do remember spoodles but can't say I recall any memorable meals there.

They had decent breakfast, but the dinner foods were mixed - it was supposed to be Mediterranean, but was a bit bland. When Kat Kora took over, it upped the spices and flavors a bit, so was an improvement, but in general, I don't think Mediterranean fare brought in a big enough crowd. Once it became Trattoria, I think it's done much better with a more broad Italian/American menu which plays to a bigger audience.

Oh my.....I haven't heard that name in years. We ate there several times as we stay over at the BCV. We felt the food was good just not very memorable.

Did not eat there, but we are not returning to Trattoria again, so view any change to be welcome... then again, at least it isn't empty...

Hah! Imagine getting lamb kebab appetizer for $8

Not one skewer but multiple! That was possible with this menu from back in 2007:

Actually, it was all small plates "Tappas" style. Food was meant to be shared. At the time, the Boardwalk Area was aimed for the convention travelers. So the idea of shared plates did not go over as planned. A HS friend worked Club Level at YC and BW during the beginning of the Boardwalk area. They told me about it because we loved Spoodles.

We loved Spoodles and ate there may times! I always loved the way the sign stood out on the Boardwalk.
