Essentially the same?

Instead of asking about which attractions are different and/or better, I wondered if we could compile a list of what attractions are essentially the same.

I assume that (just like at WDW), there's no way that I'll do and see every single attractions. Consequently, I want to make sure that I see the things at DLR that aren't at WDW... and then the headliners that are different than at WDW... followed by the headliners that are essentially the same... followed by the non-headliners that are essentially the same (as time permits).

So... Obviously, there probably won't be that many things that are identical... but how about the attractions that are essentially the same... the attractions that I could skip in favor of doing DLR unique attractions.

Interesting twist on an oft repeated question.....i like it.

Key word is "essentially". You'll get some different opinions on this.

I assume that (just like at WDW), there's no way that I'll do and see every single attractions.

Depends on how long you have. Because DLR is easier to tour, rewards early touring better, is so close together, doesn't require you to ride stinkin' buses & is easier to efficiently collect & use FPs (than WDW).....you can do an awful lot (dang near everything) if you have 4-5 days.

Consequently, I want to make sure that I see the things at DLR that aren't at WDW... and then the headliners that are different than at WDW... followed by the headliners that are essentially the same... followed by the non-headliners that are essentially the same (as time permits).

Off the top of my head:

- Dumbo
- Teacups (but it's outside & pretty)
- IASW (but the outdoor grounds are beautiful & NOT to be missed).
- Snowy
- BTMRR (but it has FP & it IS the "wildest ride in the wilderness....so you'll still want to do it. :))
- Jungle Cruise
- the putt putt cars. (Autopia?)
- the little roller coaster in Toon Town?
- The Carousel in FL?
- Winnie Pooh (but has some inside scoop characters that you can look for).

- Soarin' (but it has better theming & see my comments on BTMRR)
- Tough to be a Bug show.
- Muppets
- TT with Crush. (but it's always cute)
- Toy Story (& no FP)
- ToT is similar (but not as good, so why bother unless you have time).

I'm sure others will chime in.

Have a great time planning a visit to Walt's Park. :thumbsup2

:)

I'll add Star Tours to the list of "same attractions", although if you haven't ridden the new version, it's a great improvement over the original (IMHO) and you should check it out, if time permits.

Buzz Lightyear is the same
Peter Pan's flight very similar
Snow White's Scary Adventure
Mark Twin Riverboat
Haunted Mansion

Just wanted to add that my family disagrees about Buzz being the same. We really enjoy competing to get the highest score at Disneyland's version but we actually didn't enjoy WDW's version very much. It seemed more than that WDW's guns can't be picked up for better aiming. I think the scoring is different and I think there aren't as many different shaped targets or something. What I do know is that Buzz at DL is must do for multiple times and at WDW it is ehh, once is enough. :confused3
