My husband wants to have dinner our last evening at DL at the ESPN Zone. Then he and my son want to go upstairs and play the video games. When they do that I will take my daughter for a walk through Downtown Disney and am thinking about checking out Club Libby Lu with her. Now to my question, do you think we'll need reservations at ESPN Zone on a Thursday for dinner or should I chance it?

I always see a line there in the afternoon when I walk by. I'd recommend making priority seating arrangements. You can call (714) 781-3463, and hit 4. It's better to be safe. :)

Last time I checked, back in November, you could not make reservations at ESPNzone. Even when it was super packed and we had a party of 7/8 people we never waited more than 20 minutes.

Thanks for the heads up, stagemomx3.

I just checked, and you can make PS for ESPN Zone Monday-Friday until 5pm. After 5pm and weekends they just take walk-ins. No wonder I always see a line there in the evening. lol

Great, Good to know. My dad wants to go here too and I wasnt sure if we had to make resies or not.

I wonder if its best to get there exactly at 5:00 pm, or how busy it would be at lunch. I doubt it would be as busy at lunch then at dinner.

Thanks, I think we'll do a 4:30 or 4:45 reservation then, make it an early dinner. That won't be too much of a problem considering we're doing early entry at the park that day and we'll need a break most likely. My daughter and I will have some fun in Downtown Disney while the boys are playing video games and then we can go back to the park in the evening and take in a few last rides and fireworks before we have to go home.

Thanks for your help. :)

Best to make reservations before 5:00 p.m. if you can. We waited for an hour (or possibly more) when we were there.

Is you register at ESPNZone online, you can receive 40 free arcade points and be able to request "next available seating" up to two days in advance using their online reservation system. We took advantage of that and were seated immediately at 6pm and we didn't even have to wait in line to check in...just walked right up to the host/hostess counter and were then seated in the sports room. And, this was right at the beginning of the Notre Dame bowl game:cheer2: By registering the 4 of us online, we had 160 points to use! A great deal! Though the website states you have to be 18 to register, they don't check id when you activate the ESPNZone card...I asked if they needed to see our driver's licenses and they looked at me as if I were crazy!

Now I found out something very interesting. I just called the ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney directly (I found their number on their website) and I was advised they don't do priority seating at all. I then called the Disney number in this thread and asked the same question and I was told they take priority seating up to 5:00 PM Sunday through Thursday.

I made a reservation for the Thursday of our trip for 5:00 PM.

Anyway, I found that interesting, you can't call the restaurant directly, you have to go through Disney Dining to get priority seating.
