ESPN Zone on Gameday?

I'm just relaying what DH was told when he called there. I'm sure the answer could be different depending on who answers the phone. There are only two other 4:00 pm games that day (Jets/Titans and Broncos/Chargers) so we'll see. Considering the Seattle vs. San Fran rivalry is one of the biggest in the game these days I think we have a decent shot of seeing it on the big screen. Plus, the 12th man is every where. :cheer2: Go Hawks! :cheer2:

Anything is possible! Just relaying my own experience from the few times I've been there. We've seen a lot of Jets fans, but versus the Titans wouldn't be too exciting. Plus you have lots of Seahawks bandwagon fans on your side now (not you.. just in general ;) )

So glad this was posted because I didn't know about the VIP section. Now I have to think about the $250 guarantee since we will have five people. Does anyone have any other thoughts about where they might watch the games if not at ESPN?

I'll likely be at a vip table for the seahawks game on nov 2. With 5 adults and one child, we might be buying pitchers for neighbors to meet the minimum spend.

Hmm, I will be there during this time. I guess I could be tempted to pull for the seahawks for a pitcher of beer.

Depends on the game you want to watch. Keep in mind you can watch any Sunday Night, Monday Night and early season Thursday Night games in your room. You should be able to get most primary late afternoon games. But not always. I remember last year, a Denver DISser had to scramble to find a place to watch his Broncos play the NY Giants (Manning Bowl III). 90% of the country got the game. But not Orlando, because the Jacksonville Jaguars played at Oakland at the same time, and, according to NFL rules, Orlando must show almost all Jacksonville away games. I think this Disser ended up watching the game at Splitsville.

When we're out of town, and want to watch our beloved Cincinnati Bengals, we end up at Buffalo Wild Wings. I think the closest one to WDW is on I-Drive.

If you have direct tv you can use an Iphone or Ipad app to watch the games wherever you are. I did this last year at Fantasmic and had a crowd of about 20 men wanting updates and to see a bit of the 4pm games before the show started.

Thanks for the info! It will be the last Sunday game of the regular season during Christmas week. NJ Jets vs. Miami, not sure when it will be played and probably won't know for sure until a week before...will depend if it "means" anything....and ummm hummmm clearing my throat...I will make no comment about that! I will probably reserve the space especially since we can use the $$$ for merchandise...DH and DS are always good for a shirt or two wherever we go!

There is a Buffalo Wild Wings in Lake Buena Vista. The front desk at your hotel might have some suggestions.

If it's not a regional game shown on local networks, and it's not a Thursday night/Sunday night/Monday night game, there's really no other options in WDW other than ESPN Club. They are the only ones on property with the NFL Ticket showing all the games. If it's regional game that would be shown on local networks, most lounges will have it on.

There is a place about 12 miles from WDW that my friend owns called Field House (previously Miller's Field http://www.millersfieldorlando.com/ ) that has a lot of TVs and games. I will be staying at the ESPN Club though because I want to be able to take the boat to and from the MGM park.

I just booked for December 22nd Denver Broncos versus Cincinnati Bengles monday night football at the VIP lounge. Good eats and good game :)

I had DH call ESPN club and apparently the process has changed a little. Reservations are now made by calling WDW dining directly. And they do have kid's pricing now too. :cool1:

From the WDW website:

"Advance reservations are highly recommended. For booking, please check availability online or call (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463 up to 180 days prior to your visit.

ESPN Club VIP Premium Club Seats are available for $50 per adult and $25 per child, and include all food and beverage orders up to those amounts; additional charges will apply for orders exceeding the cost of each individual Guest’s admission. Tax and gratuity are not included."

I know it says to check availability online but I didn't see a way to do that. But once we had the confirmation number I was able to add it to MDE.

We now have a reservation for December 14th and are crossing our fingers they'll put the Sehawks vs. 49ers game on the big screen. :cheer2::cheer2:

One thing I forgot to mention...they are now charging $55 per head instead of $50. I wonder if that is because it is Monday Night Football.

The above changes to the VIP section don't surprise me and I wonder if it's because it's increased in popularity. When we did it in November 2013, I called directly to reservie and the initial CM who answered the phone was a little confused, so I had to ask to a manager. When we were actually there, the area was half empty - maybe only 6-8 parties in the whole section. Either way, I think it's a good option if you don't want to get to ESPN Club early and fight the crowds.

I'll have to ask the husband what they quoted him for price. Although knowing him, he didn't write it down. We were expecting to have to pay full price for our two kids under 10 though which would have made it $250 for the five of us. So whether it's $55 or $50 for the 3 adults, we still save a little money on the two younger DDs.

we went to a 4pm game there last Oct. we got in line outside around 3pm and basically couldn't get until the 1pm game was over and people started to clear out. Does anyone know what the 8pm sunday night game would look like? get there around 7? or earlier?
