ESPN the Weekend 2010

Anyone have any idea if Disney will host this again this year and when? We just got APs and DH would love to plan a trip down. I know it is usually the last weekend in Feb or the first weekend in March, but this year the Olympics will be around that time.

When we have entered the sweeps for this event (and actually WON in 2008!!) they began the advertising and entries for it around October/November time frame. I know when we viewed the info for it even at that time it was a bit vague as they did not have all participants even lined up then. I would look for it more in the October time frame? The official website is still set up for 2009, however, the Dick's 5k run site thru Disney says to join us next year.

Hmmm...I never thought about the Olympics interfering with ESPN the weekend. I hope it doesn't.

We went ahead and made a reservation for a studio at BLT from 2/25 to 3/2 in anticipation of if taking place the last weekend in February.

I seen it somewhere because we arrive the 5th of march and just miss it. It is the last weekend of Feb.

They are getting ready to announce the dates for ESPN The Weekend. It will be February 26th, 27th, and 28th. The Champion 5K will be February 27th at 7:00am.

I have my DVC booked for fiance & son, but am hesitant to book the flights until I hear an official announcement.

It costs a small fortune to change the plane tickets these days.

I'm in the same boat, booked rooms for both potential weekends but no flights because it's too expensive to change them. Anyone with official news?

Well, the ESPN the Weekend 5K was announced for 2/27/10, so if that is any indication, I would think the actual weekend dates will be 2/26/10-2/28/10. That is pure speculation, but with the "ESPN the Weekend 5K" being announced for the 27th, i'd have to think the actual weekend would be then also.
