We'll be at Disney over two Sundays.

Would like to catch one Eagles game. Is ESPN the best place to go?? Do they take ADR's

Also, one game is against Tampa Bay and the other week it's Jacksonville. I'm assuming on property isn't a big deal who you're for??? Eagle jerseys would be OK to wear??

ESPN does not take ADRs you have to get in line and wait to be seated. So if you want to watch a specific event I have two suggestions.
1) check with them the day before that they will be showing your game (they keep a list)

2) show up early to ensure you have a table by game time.

You can always try and find a seat in the bar as well. And feel free to wear whichever jersey you please. The most it will bring you is some lighthearted ribbing.

Last year a lot of people recommended the All Star Sports Cafe @ Wide World of Sports Complex. We planned on taking a cab over there but we got lucky and watched the game@ the bar at the Yacht Club Galley (i think). We had lunch there that day and the bartender said he'd have our game on later. (There's only one TV.)
We knew ESPN was going to be a disaster. We walked by to check it out and there was no room to even stand inside. We walked over to check it out before going to the Yacht Club.

We also went to ESPN one Sunday to catch a game. Reallllly crowded! :crowded: We managed to find a spot to stand in the bar which was cool because we were able to watch like 5 games at once.

So, if you want to go, get there earlllllly! No ADR's.

with pride!! I will be down there when the Birds play GB on Monday night then Dallas the following Sunday. I am sure I will be able to watch both on the pool bar TV's. Unless Tampa is playing an NFC team or an AFC team on the road at the same time the Eagles play. If that is the case, the Bucs will have the time slot on the local network and it will be off to Disney's All Star Cafe!!!
You will be in luck if Philly is playing the Bucs, because that is guaranteed to be on the local station!!

FLY EAGLES FLY!!!!! :drinking1 :drinking1

Hi
My DH, DD and I watched an Eagles game at ESPN and it was so much fun! We got there about 8:30 in the morning and waited till about 11:00 when they let us iln. It was so crowded by 11:00, so if you want a good seat, you should get there early. If this was a home game, we wouldn't never been in WDW. My DH has had season tickets for 42 years and he's only missed ONE home game. He had to travel on business. He will also travel to see some of the away games, and yes, wear your jersey. We had EAGLES tee shirts on!!! We won that day and there were a lot of Eagles fans. Have a great time.

I never thought of All Stars Cafe. We have a car so we can go anywhere.

We will wear our jersey's, I just wasn't sure how the locals would be, you know around Philly the fans can be....well you know....

Does All Stars take ADR's???

I have been to espn a few times on Saturday's for college games. Never been there for any NFL games, not really a huge fan of the NFL since they took the Brown's away from Cleveland. Yes, we have the Browns back but it's not the same. Anyway, I love going to espn for games because the people(fans, patrons) have always been really fun. It was fairly crowded 12 to about 6 when we left.

We were at the ESPN club for the SuperBowl w/the Eagles vs Patriots. Yes, we wore our Eagles gear and the crowd was about evenly divided. We had a great time - despite the score :sad2: (misery loves company!) - but it was a mob scene, as would be expected. We enjoyed it tremendously and would do it again in a heartbeat!

Definetly go to the ESPN club.

DH and I have been to a few Steeler games there and it is so much fun. We've always had a great time.

In September, the Steelers will be playing the Bengals, and we plan to watch at least some of the game there since we'll have the kiddies don't think they'll sit there the whole time. I didn't realize I'd have to get to the place at 8:30am though to get a seat for a 1pm game. We've always been to late Sunday games or Monday night. Guess I'll stand for 3 hours and DH can take the kids swimming. I'm glad we're staying at the BWV.

Can anyone confirm, do I need to get to the ESPN at 8am for a 1pm game to get a seat?

1. I agree, All Star Café is a better choice, you are seated with LARGE screen TV's all around the room, you will have a squawk box on the table that you can tune in which TV you want to listen to. Most EVERY game will be on, on one of the screens.

2. Wear your Jerseys, we watched a few games there and it is great to see different people rooting for different teams, or to hear a sudden roar of cheer when something happens on a game that you are not watching. Really cool atmosphere.

3. No ADR's, but BIGGER than ESPN.

We'll actually be arriving the morning of the Philly/JAX game. No huge plans for arrival day, so it works out well for the game. I figure the game will be on at every bar/lounge in the resorts (with JAX being a local team), so I'll make my decision based on my closest outlet.

Just checked ... and the Bucs/Giants game is on opposite the Eagles on 10/29. One game on FOX, the other CBS. The question is which one will the smaller lounges be showing?

We were in DW in Jan 2004 when the Eagles Beat Green Bay in the playoffs, it was a Sunday night, my whole family, ME, DH, DD(5 that day) and DS (19 months) all had Eagles garb on, we were in MK and there were TONS of philly fans doing the Eagles cheer thru the MK, it was SO AMAZING.

Have a GREAT time and "bleed green"

Wherever you choose to watch, I would recommend you watch the Tampa Bay game, since you are certain to lose the game against Jacksonville and I would want that to taint the fun you have while on vacation! :rotfl:

Go Jaguars!

Be careful. There was once an argument over which game to have on at The Crews Cup Lounge next to YSH. It was getting pretty loud, and the manager said the TV is first-come first-served, so the party that arrived earlier had the selection, even tho the "other" game was more important to the season's outcome. If I remember correctly, the game not being shown involved either the Jets or the Giants and there were a lot of NY Fans in the bar complaining. (It may have been a Saturday Game and the conflicting game may have been a college game).
So, don't assume the "local" game will be on a single TV.

Being a Giant fan, I would have to ask this one important question: Why would anyone want to wear an Eagles jersey?? :jumping3:

Like someone else mentioned check the day before which game will be broadcast in the dining room on the large screen tv. You wouldn't want to wait in line all morning for the dining room to find out "your" game is not the one on the main tv in the dining room.

GO PATS!!!
