Escape wedding attendee numbers...

I know that they say that 18 is the maximum (20 with the bride and groom), but we have 22 people in our immediate family (including infants) that we would want to invite. Can you pay a little extra per person and still have an Escape wedding? I would like to keep it really simple and small, and it's such a big jump from Escape to Wishes! (I seriously doubt everyone will be able to attend, but we have to plan for the miraculous! )

Also, I just want to say what a WONDERFUL source of information this forum has been for me! My boyfriend and I have been discussing a destination wedding for a few months. Disney came up a couple of weeks ago and when I went to my favorite website (LOVE DIS!!!) I found a wealth of information! I really have my heart set on having our wedding at Disney! As my daughters say, "Mom, it's the most magical place on earth!"

Unfortunately the answer to your question is no.

A couple of years ago the Escape wedding was for 10 people (including bride and groom) and you could add guests up to a total of 18 for about $100 per person. But Disney changed their policy to allow up to 18 guests (plus bride and groom) for no real additional cost (except for extra champagne). Since then, they have not allowed additional guests for any additional costs.

I think part of the reason for the original restriction was the small space at two of the Escape wedding locations (Sunset Pointe and Sunrise Terrace - both of which only allow 10 people max). However, many brides were choosing the WP which had a lot more room and those brides were adding the additional guests. So, Disney upped the max guest number for Escape weddings but they have been pretty strict about keeping that maximum.

You might consider having a babysitting service (Disney has one) to watch the kids so you can still have the Escape ceremony.
